Philosophy Hope In A Jar SPF 15 Review

Philosophy Hope In A Jar SPF 15 ($18-45) This daily moisturizer provides remarkable sun protection, defending skin from a broad spectrum of UVA and UVB radiation. A moisture-rich, multi-function formulation, it nourishes skin with antioxidants that fight wrinkles and neutralize the effects of pollution. Hope In Jar also provides mild exfoliation properties while the ingredient beta glucan adds a healthy, rosy glow.

My Thoughts:

Avoid this at all costs. I did not like Philosophy’s Hope In A Jar SPF 15. It was so greasy and took forever and a day to absorb. The moisturizer just sits on your face. Also, the consistency and texture of the moisturizer is on the strange side. It reminds me of cottage cheese. It’s very clumpy. Also over time, I noticed the moisturizer begin to separate. Besides the weird texture, it has a very strong unpleasant smell. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it doesn’t smell good. Instead of leaving my face with a healthy glow, it left it shiny and greasy looking. Philosophy’s Hope In A Jar SPF 15 is an over hyped product.

  • I received a sample size of this during the Sephora VIB sample pack(I was one of those who got the jipped version cos they ran out!)when I unscrewed the tube, the most awful smell!INVADED! my poor olfactory nerves and I immediately screwed it closed.
A lot of people do like this tho, I rem Temptalia giving it rave reviews.
Oh well, another one bites the dust.

  • that sucks! for the price tag i expected to work better! i also heard about the awful smell it has :( too bad, cuz i really like their purity made simple a lot — i guess i’ll avoid the moisturizer though.
