My Thoughts:

Being Asian and from California (where the sun doesn’t stop shining) I am very susceptible to dark spots. I am always finding a way to lighten them. Enter Porcelana.

Porcelana is an affordable skin lightening cream that you can find in drugstores and in mass retail stores like Wal-Mart. Even though it’s a thick cream, it’s non-greasy and absorbs very quickly. You can even apply it before putting on makeup! I never noticed an unpleasant smell, but there is a light fragrance that disappears very quickly. Porcelana is very gentle and didn’t cause any irritation or breakouts.

Both the Day and Night versions work the same way: apply a thin layer to the area you want to lighten. The difference between the Day and Night is that the Day version has sunscreen while the Night version has moisturizers and antioxidants to help restore your skin while you sleep.

I started noticing results after a couple weeks of daily use. After a couple of months of use, I noticed a big difference. My blemishes and dark spots have nearly faded away. I highly recommend Porcelana. It’s gentle. It’s affordable. It’s great.

I’m really loving mine too. It really works! I used up the jar of night one already, I findthe night one a little easier to spread. So surprised at how expensive they r because I used to shell out big bucks for whitening and scar remover products. Although on the packaging it did say if u use for more than 3 months and dont see result, discontinue. So I wonder if that’s because it’s not wise to use as a long term day to day thing? Shrugs need to do more research. But for now, I’m loving the results!!! Trying to use it to fade all my ugly eczema scars too! :)

you used up a whole jar already? How much do you put on? I barely made a dent in mine. It practically looks like a new jar. I just apply a thin layer to the spots I want to go bye bye.

I used them mostly on my body where I had marks left from last year/this spring’s eczema. Wish I knew abt it earlier because the mark near my underarm where it actually bowed thru during my wedding is all gone now :( I liked the night one because
It’s more fluidy and I brought it with me on my trip so I was using em twice a day everyday :) the day one I barely made a dent because it was just for my face and I use sooooo tiny each time!

  • No fair! This is not sold in Canada!! Grrrrrr….I have several and my mom would LOOVE to try this. She isn’t the girly-girl type but I enable her to try products xD

Still quite pissed that this isn’t sold here

I am sorry to be the only one here that so far hasn’t seen any change in my face using Porcelana Lightening Cream. I’ve been using it twice a day for a month. The night cream is thicker, I am not sure I like it, I wish it would have the same texture of the day one. I am latin and as you must know, the chances to have dark spots on face after a pregnancy is greater. I am pretty disappointed. It seems like the affected areas are getting darker! I must look for something more agressive to get rid of it as soon as possible! :(

you might want to stick it out a bit longer. it usually takes about 3 months for you truly start to see results.

Hi! I saw a lady at walmart buying them ALL! She said women go crazy in Honduras where she resells them. Now, I’ve heard bad things about hydroquinone. Is it safe to use? I’ve been wanting to buy it but I’m scared! Help! Any thoughts/ comments?? Thank you!!!! :)

Here are some website to review, in all the reviews say that although it is the most effective ingredient for bleaching the skin, it is very dangerous! here are some links so you can decide for yourself! :)

I bought the Night Cream and I’ve only used it once on my arms and face, but I have no dark spots, I just have a slightly visible tan which i’m desperately trying to get rid of. The tan’s barely noticeable but it still bothers me, I want my face and arms to look like the rest of my body. So I was wondering if this cream only targets smalls dark spots and is intended for specific spots, or can I use it as a skin bleach to get rid of my tan as well? I don’t want to keep using it on my entire face if i’m only going to waste time and money. Please help :(

The main ingredient that makes fading possible is hydroquinone and is banned in EU and canada b/c it potential cancer causing risk. Though it has not been tested in humans but lab test on rats. It also can cause ochronosis, it’s when your skin turns blueish and it is permanent, so that is why they don;t recommend long term use.

I have had melasma on my upper lip for over a year :( mortifying!
I recently read that chemical peels are an effective way to reduce the appearance of this discoloration, so I decided to give it a go. After 5 chemical peels, my skin is softer and smoother but I barely notice a difference in the discoloration. My aesthetician recommended a skin lightener at the office which sells for $50. This seemed a little too pricey, especially after the cost of the peels. Research shows that hydroquinone can help fade discolorations and even skin tone, so I decided to save some $ and try this product.
Today will be the first time I try this product. Wish me luck!

My mom just bought the day cream and I really hope it helps with my uneven skin tone and acne scars, based on the reviews I’ve seen it seems to work pretty well. I just have one question, is this okay to use under makeup? i would want to ruin the process and for it to discolor my skin more, if that can happen, haha.
