Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream Review, Photos, and Swatches

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream ($29.99 for 50mL) Blemish Balm, also called BB Cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to soothe and regenerate the skin.

The M Perfect Cover BB Cream gives an even and natural-looking coverage with the soothing, moisturising properties of a cream. It is suitable for all skin types including acne-prone skin, and can be used as a makeup base or foundation.

My Thoughts:

Finally a BB Cream that comes in a shade for tanned skin! Unlike other BB Creams, Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream has a range of shades. It comes in 4 different shades: #13 Milky Beige, #21 Light Beige, #23 Natural Beige, and #31 Golden Beige. I have #21 and #23. I’m thinking I should have gotten #31 also because I know I will get a tan during summer and #23 will be too light. For now, #23 is perfect for me. #21 is more of a winter shade. #13 is just way too pale for me no matter the season.

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream has a thick texture that provides a light to medium coverage. It’s thicker than a tinted moisturizer but not quite like full coverage foundation. It’s sort of like a light foundation. I read people had difficulty blending because of the thick texture. I didn’t have any difficulty. I used my fingers to blend so the warmth from my fingers probably melted the cream a bit to make it thinner.  It gives your skin a semi-matte finish. I want to say a bit dewy too. When you first apply the BB Cream, you will notice it leaves a grayish cast. Don’t worry. Give the BB Cream about half an hour to oxidize, and the grayish color will disappear. Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream doesn’t have super long lasting powers, but it does last for a good 5-6 hours. I haven’t been using it long enough to determine whether it help better improve my skin so I can’t comment on that. However, I can say I haven’t had a breakout since I started using it. It didn’t irritate my skin either even though there is a fragrance. The BB Cream has a fresh floral scent. It’s not very strong, but it’s there.

The size I have is 50mL and it comes with a pump. I have a love-hate relationship with the pump. Yes, the pump makes for cleaner dispensing, but it makes it difficult to control how much to pump out. You can’t stop mid-pump because it’s too difficult. But I can’t complain too much because one pump is the perfect amount to cover my whole face. A little truly goes a long way. I have a feeling a 50mL tube is going to last me a whole year.

I blended, but I didn’t blend too well. I just wanted to show you what the BB Cream looks like blended vs. dispensed.

I have #21 and #23. I’m thinking I should have gotten #31 also because I know I will get a tan during summer and #23 will be too light. For now, #23 is perfect for me. #21 is more of a winter shade.  #13 is just way too pale for me no matter the season.

Nice review, it’s my favourite BB cream I have it in #21 and I like it more than my normal liquid foundations and skin 79 bb cream .If you don’t like the pump you can get the 20 ml one it has a squeeze tube

  • I look for the bb cream that match to my tan skin too.Thank you!

hmm I’ve been contemplating the BB cream bandwagon but I want to know which one is the best for me and just get that instead of having to try various ones. :( haven’t been able to prioritize that venture yet though.

when i found out missha made a shade for tan colored skin is when i finally jumped on board. before that, all the bb cream shades were for light skin tones

I am also contemplating whether or not to join the BB Cream phenomenon. But your review helped tons! Also, does it cover blemishes nicely? And lastly, I have a combination skin type; would you recommend this product since you said that it is a bit “dewy”. I don’t want it to make myself seem as if I have an overly, oily complexion.

i have combo skin and it works for me. if you’re worried about looking too oily, you can always set it with powder

Hi Audrey!!! Thanks for your review! It helped me lots! Btw, I’ve been doing sooo many bb cream cream research that I’m not sure if I’ll join the bandwagon!! For you, did this bb cream cause breakouts 2-3 days after? And if you don’t mind, I’d like to ask if you can do some more bb cream reviews too!!!! But I think I’ll order this to give it a try! :) )))

I’m so glad it helped you out a lot! I’m still iffy about joining the bb cream bandwagon too. Since the shades that are offered are for light skin tones, I couldn’t try bb creams until missha made shades for darker skin tones. I would most definitely jump on if other brands offered darker shades.

I didn’t notice any break outs or any problems.

I’ll try to do more bb cream reviews if I ever find a shade that works for me.

Does this help improve your skin like other bb creams? Like whitening, scars, acne, or uneven skintone?

  • hafsa

Is their not a BB cream with the colour that is inbetween the two colours you have swatched which is suitable for dry skin and medium coverage?
21 is too light for me and 23 is too dark -.-
    -Good review!

I was wondering, if #23 is perfect for you, what is your skin tone?

I’m trying to find the right shade (cause i’m ordering online) and i’m kind of a NC30, maybe SLIIIGHHTTLY little leaning towards NC35….

Hey, I was looking online and then saw this review and decided to take a look! I was planning to buy bb cream online, but couldn’t decide which colour. This is a really good swatch! By any chance, could you maybe do a swatch for number 27?

  • Serena

are you going to be reviewing any other bb creams now that there are more on the US market? ie Garnier, Maybelline, Loreal specifically.

    • Audrey Dao

I would love to, but I’m not sure when. Right now I’m forcing myself to finish the products I have right now to try to lessen my pile of makeup. But now that you brought it up, I’ll make a conscious effort to keep an eye out for BOGO sales and I’ll grab some bb creams to try and review. I’m curious about them too :)
