Manicure Monday: Valentine’s Day Glitter Gradient

Share

I was just going to do your basic pink nails. But before the nail polish could dry, I nicked and gauged the nail polish. I hate it when I do that! I can never sit still enough for my nails to dry even if my life depends on it. Instead of redoing my nails, I thought it would be easier (and more fun) to just hide it using glitter. Instead of completely covering my nails with glitter, I did a gradient.

Find out how I created this Valentine’s Day Glitter Gradient!

For the light pink shade, I used Essie’s Lady Like. For the glitter, I used Essie’s Set In Stone. I also applied two layers of a clear top coat to ensure that the surface was smooth and not bumpy from the glitter. To create the gradient, I just layered on glitter making sure I kept it concentrated at the tip of my nails. It was really easy. So easy, anybody can do it.

I hope you like it!

Haha.. I do that too! I can never sit still long enough to wait for the polish to dry. I usually paint my nails at the end of the day after everything has been done. I wait long enough for them to dry (or so I think) before going to bed, but more often than not, I usually end up with weird imprints on my nails in the morning from my comforter touching my nails! hehe..

I painted my nails once before going to bed. I thought they were dry. Apparently not because I found nail polish on my blankets and pillow case! haha
