Valentine’s Day is almost here! Are you doing anything to celebrate? Personally, I’m not a big fan of the idea of Valentine’s Day. Shouldn’t you shower people with love and care everyday? That doesn’t mean I don’t like to get into the Valentine’s Day mood. One of my favorite things to do is paint my nails. I have an array of nail polish in pinks and reds, and I love to bust them out during the month of February. I thought this year it would be fun to do a design instead of just painting my nails a solid color. These are some Valentine’s Day designs I found.
Do you have any Valentine’s Day nail design ideas? Do share!

How to make a natural face pack
The cold weather can take its toll on your skin, so why not look after your complexion? Exfoliate regularly, book a course of Botox and create your own face masks – you know you’re worth it!
If you fancy knocking up your own beauty products, here are five natural concoctions to revitalise your skin.
Strawberry mask
The salicylic acid found in strawberries is great for acne, so try out this luxurious, homemade face mask. Mash up a handful of ripe, juicy strawberries and mix them with sour cream. Leave the mixture on your face for a good 20 minutes (while you relax with a magazine) and wash it off using warm water. The healing properties of this tasty fruit will help cure any skin ailments and the yoghurt will have a nice cooling affect.
Butter and water
If you’re suffering from dry, flaky or rough skin, mix butter and water together and apply it to your problem areas. This mixture can soften your complexion when left on for around 20 minutes and is a great alternative to shop-bought products. It’s simple to make and is a good way of using the contents of your fridge. Many body butters claim to revitalise your appearance, but if you’re in need of a quick-fix, check this recipe out.
Lemon and egg white
Liven up a dull complexion by mixing the juice of a lemon with one beaten egg white. Apply the soft, foamy mixture to your face and leave it on for as long as possible (preferably overnight). If this is not practical, settle down with a good film and let the mixture work its magic. Lemons have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that should improve your skin and egg whites are thought to tone your complexion.
Avocado face mask
If you’re fed up with your wrinkles, crow’s feet and laughter lines whip up this simple anti-ageing mixture and revitalise your skin. Avocados are full of antioxidants that are believed to repair damaged skin and make a great natural face mask. Simply mash up two avocados until they have a smooth creamy complexion and apply them all over your face. Leave the mixture on for around half an hour before washing off with warm water. If your skin is in need of some extra TLC a course of microdermabrasion can unblock pores and will reveal your natural luminosity.
Treat yourself to a luxurious pampering session and feel better in no time.

My hair has been feeling and looking flat lately. I think it’s because of the weather. Here’s what I do to combat flat hair and pump some volume into my hair.
If my hair is wet, I blow dry my hair upside down. This is usually the easiest and quickest way for me to get voluminous hair after I wash my hair. I just flip my hair upside and blow dry. I try to keep the airflow concentrated at the roots of my hair too.
If my hair is dry, I flip my hair upside down and spray some hairspray into my hair. Or I’ll just add some volumizing mousse. I found that mousse won’t weigh down your hair.

I have a thing for thick, bold brows. I think it helps frame the eyes beautifully. Plus, I feel it gives the face a gorgeous classic look.
Mine aren’t the thickest or the boldest, but this is what I do to try to achieve the look!

I thought it would be fun if I compiled a list of my favorite products I tried during 2011. Some of these products have been on the market for awhile and some of them were introduced in 2011. I didn’t realize how many product reviews I posted until I started to go through all the posts I had written thus far. It was a lot! I also noticed I didn’t write a lot of reviews for products I had gotten and tried this past year. I guess that means lots more reviews for 2012!
Find out which products made my Favorite Products list!
