Holiday Beauty Look Inspirations

It’s that time of the year again. Time for the holiday parties!

My favorite holiday makeup look is the red lips. It could be soft, bold, glossy, matte, sheer or dark. I love them all. I love the red lip. I love it because if done simple, it can be so classy and glamorous. It’s also the quickest makeup look to put together. You don’t have to worry about eye or face makeup. If I do decide to do a little eye makeup, it’s always the cat eye. I always use liquid liner because it gives a clean and precise finish.

I love, love, LOVE to use glitter nail polish during the holidays. It’s the only time of the year I will sport glittery nails. My go-to glitter shade is gold. I love to layer it or wear it alone. I think it adds a nice warm touch.

Fall Matte Lips

When it comes to Fall, I like to use dark lip colors, and I like to keep it matte. I feel it gives off an alluring mysterious look but classy at the same time. What about you? What fall lip color do you like to sport during Fall?

When To Throw Out Makeup

Everybody has makeup stashed away somewhere that they say they sometime use or will use. This is just code for: I’ll use it when I figure out how to or I shouldn’t have bought it, but I’m too lazy to return. Been there. Done that. I’m sorry to say that probably by the time you decide to pull out the makeup you stashed away months ago or even years ago may not be any good anymore. So how long do you have before you have to chuck the mascara, foundation, eyeshadow, or nail polish?

Summer Makeup Tips

Share

Summer is rapidly approaching so I thought I would share some summer makeup tips.

Summer is the perfect excuse to try those bright and vibrant nail polish colors you’ve always wanted to. I like to wear vibrant nail polish colors because they help show off my tan plus the colors really pop against tanned skin.

Bronzer gives color and warmth to your skin. Don’t overdo the bronzer though. Just apply to the high points (where sun naturally touches) of your face:  forehead, cheekbones, chin, and nose. You want to look believable, not like an oompal oompa.

Put away the heavy foundation and matte colors and bust out that tinted moisturizer and gloss. Keep your makeup light and sheer since the summer heat will melt your makeup.

To prevent your makeup from disappearing and sliding off your face, try to use waterproof makeup. Primers will help foundation last longer and keep shadows in place. Waterproof mascaras and eyeliners will help prevent the undereye racoon look. Lip and cheek stains will give off a natural look and keep color from disappearing.

How to Perfectly Accent Your Gorgeous Red Hair

By: Adrienne & Stephanie Vendetti

How to be a Redhead believes with the right makeup, beauty tips and recommendations, any redhead- natural or not so natural- can be gorgeous! It is also important to follow trends, but put a “redhead twist” on it so your hair is complimented in the perfect way.

Your hair and makeup should always flatter your red hair; use these tips:

1)  Apply a thick black eyeliner to the top lid and apply black mascara. Leave the bottom part of the eye untouched. Warning: Redheads, do not be afraid to wear darker colors! Many people want to make redheads look as pale as possible, but we are here to tell you it is okay to go dark!

2)  Rock a red lip! Right now, it is extremely popular to wear the “Gwen Stefani red,” but we like to put our “redhead twist” to use and opt for a burnt red. We love Make Up For Ever’s Crayon Contour des Levres Waterproof Lipliner Pencil, 9C Aqua Lip. We first apply a chap stick then use this pencil as a lipliner and lipstick. It’s brilliant!

3)  Get a rockin’ do! Either get a side bang or full bang because it will put together your entire look with ease.

4) Many newly colored redheads are getting colored contacts to complete the typical redhead look. We love this idea! Go for a blue or green.

5)  Do this all while always looking young by making sure all products have an SPF! Redheads have extremely sensitive skin and must keep it maintained.

With these tips, redheads around the world will be glowing from head to toe. After all, isn’t it a redhead world and everyone else just lives in it? How to be a Redhead thinks so!

Keep looking beautiful!
