Lancome Presents Allure Beauty 101 – Self-tanner 101
1. Wash skin with a creamy cleanser ans shave legs. If you wax, be sure to wait 24 hours before self-tanning.
2. Exfoliate thoroughly with a scrub that contains soft, synthetic beads, paying close attention to the rough patches on your feet, knees, and elbows. Rinse, dry, and wait ten minutes for skin too cool.
3. Rub a thin layer of moisturizer around your nails, between your fingers and toes, and in your belly button.
4. When using a spray, stand in the shower or on a towel, and hold the nozzle about six inches from the skin (slightly farther when spraying the hands, feet, inner arms, and elbow). Spray from the toes up in sweeping motions or small circles.
5. To spray your upper back, raise one arm and point the can down over your shoulder. Then get to your lower back by reaching behind your wait and spraying up.
6. For self-tanning lotion, work a quarter-size blob (or an egg-size amount of foam) from feet to neck in horizontal, then vertical strokes.
7. Be sure to cover commonly missed areas – the neck, the sides of the body, and under the breasts. Wash hands with soap and a nail brush.
8. Wait at least 20 minutes before getting dressed, climbing into bed, or applying moisturizer.

Lancome Presents Allure Beauty 101 – Facial 101
1. Pull hair away from the face with a headband and wash with your usual cleanser to remover makeup, dirt, and oil. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
2. In a large saucepan, heat water and drop in four chamomile tea bags.
3. While waiting for the water to boil, apply a gentle exfoliating scrub with natural fruit enzymes, like papaya. Do not rinse.
4. Remove boiling water from heat. Drape a towel over your head and slowly lower your face until it’s about a foot above the pot. Steam for no more than five minutes. (Never lean over water while it’s boiling)
5. Rinse off the exfoliant with warm water and blot dry.
6. Apply a face mask that’s suited to your skin type: clay for oily skin; creamy one with honey or vitamin E for dry skin; or for combination skin, use clay on the T-zone and a creamy mask everywhere else.
7. When the mask is ready to come off (check the label for time), rinse the face and blot with a towel.
8. Spread a thin layer of eye cream and moisturizer over damp skin. Wait at least three hours before applying makeup.

Lancome Presents Allure Beauty 101 – Clear Skin 101
1. Keep your hands off any blemishes. Touching, picking, or squeezing will only make them worse.
2. Massage a nickel-size blob of PH-balanced antibacterial cleanser over the face, and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
3. Blot face with a clean towel and allow five minutes for the skin to air-dry.
4. For acne-prone skin, rub on a chemical exfoliant like glycolic acid once a week to prevent clogged pores.
5. Treat pimples in the morning with benzoyl perioxide-and-sulfur ointment or a salicylic-acid one – whichever works best for your skin.
6. Moisturize with an oil-free SPF 15 lotion. Allow moisturizer to sink in for at least two minutes.
7. Rub on an oil-free foundation and use a small, stiff brush to cover the blemish with thick, cakey concealer that matches the skin perfectly.
8. Blend the concealer into surrounding skin with the brush. If redness is still visible, apply a second coat.
9. Lightly dust loose powder on and around the blemish.
10. At night, spot-treat the blemish with a cream containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, retinols, or a prescription antibiotic.
