Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover ($18) Totally tugless, two-way makeup remover speeds the departure of hard-to-remove eye and lip makeups. Dissolves and “lifts away” long-wearing makeup, even waterproof mascara. Non-irritating, non-stinging. Ophthalmologist Tested. Appropriate for contact lens wearers.
My Thoughts:
Okay. Wow. Absolutely amazing! Clinique’s Take the Day Off Makeup Remover is a gentle makeup remover that removes even the most stubborn waterproof makeup effortlessly. It doesn’t irritate or sting your eyes if you accidentally get it into your eyes. Take the Day Off Makeup Remover is moisturizing and doesn’t dry out your skin. Even though the makeup remover leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean, it does leave back an oily film. Of course this shouldn’t matter, because you end up washing it away when you wash your face. Is it my all time favorite makeup remover? No, not quite because of the oily residue. It does rank as one of the best I’ve ever used though.

Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour ($17.50) We’ve squeezed in the best ingredients, like Vitamin C, and powered up antioxidants so lips look and feel their healthy best. Your recommended daily dose of lusciousness. Brushes on luscious colour and shine in juicy, moisture-rich blends.
- Coverage: Sheer to Moderate
- Benefits: Antioxidant protection, Moisturizes, Smoothes lips
My Thoughts:
Truthfully, I got suckered into buying Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour (wow! that’s a long name!) because of the names of the shades. I mean come on now. How clever is Raisin The Bar, Nude-tritious, Pink Me Up, Goodness Grapecious, and Running Latte? The colors are very nice, and it’s very moisturizing. It keeps your lips moisturized for hours. Also, there is no strong smell or taste. The lipcolor is a tad on the sheer side, and I don’t find it too sticky. So if you want the color show up, you’re going to have to layer a bit. I do have a couple of complaints. The first complaint is the click-pen packaging. If you used a click pen before you know how annoying it can be when you twist and twist and no product comes out. So what do you do? You twist the pen some more. Bad idea. The product comes spewing out and there is no way stop it. My second complaint is the price. I think the amount you pay doesn’t equal the amount of product you get. If you use it daily, it’s not going to last you a very long time at all. I feel a tad ripped-off.

Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser ($13) Thoroughly cleanses brushes, removing makeup residue build-up. Keeps brush hairs in optimal condition. Monthly cleansing is recommended to ensure the highest level of hygiene, help brushes last longer.
My Thoughts:
I have been using the Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser for years. Why? Because the bottle is huge and always lasts me at least a year. For $13 you get an awesome brush cleanser. Not only is the bottle huge (it’s 8 oz), it also does a wonderful job doing quick cleaning of brushes in between washings. I love that it’s a spray bottle. You won’t have to worry about spilling or using too much. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth. The brush cleanser has never caused any breakouts (that I know of) and it leaves my brushes feeling soft and not dried out. There is no funky smell, and it’s very gentle. I highly recommend Clinique’s Makeup Brush Cleanser. No matter how many different brush cleansers I try, I find myself always coming back to Clinique’s.

Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara ($14) Coaxes lashes to their longest, boldest, most upturned look yet, without a pinch, pull, tug or tear. Arched wand scoops up, lifts up every last lash. Smudge, flake, smear-resistant for up to 24 eye-opening hours. Ophthalmologist tested.
My Thoughts:
Why do I keep buying curling mascara? They never work on my stick, straight lashes. The mascara however did give my lashes a lot of length. That’s all I liked about this mascara. Instead of getting smudges underneath my eye, I found little black flecks of mascara. So not attractive! The mascara formula isn’t drying, but it’s really wet/goopey. Removing the mascara was difficult and weird. It came off in chunks. That’s the best way I can describe it. Needless to say, I returned this mascara. I will just stick to my eye lash curler and mascara.
