Katy Perry Lashes

So I was at Ulta the other day and I saw the Katy Perry Lashes on display. I forgot all about them! There are 4 different varieties: Oh, My! (full, bold lashes), Sweetie Pie (natural looking), Oh, Honey! (natural but fuller), and Cool Kitty (full, bold lashes but shorter than Oh, My!). They each retail for $6.99.

Check out all the lashes!

Korres Guava Lip Butter Review

Share

Korres Guava Lip Butter ($10) A buttery balm that melts onto the lips and cheeks for a pretty touch of color. Korres Lip Butter gives lips a lovely, shiny finish and offers a natural flush when applied to the apples of the cheeks. Its shea-butter infusion conditions and heals lips and provides a softening touch to the skin.

My Thoughts:

I’m not sure I like Korres Guava Lip Butter very much. What bothered me so much about the Guava Lip Butter was the whitish tint it left behind on my lips. Guava is supposed to be a clear shade so I was quite surprised it was white. I also don’t like that it comes in a jar. I hate sticking my fingers into products. Other than those two complaints, Korres Guava Lip Butter provided my lips with lots of moisture and hydration. The texture is buttery, smooth and it smells so yummy! Because of the whitish color it leaves behind, I only use this at night. It works pretty well as night treatment for lips. I’m thinking I will like the other Korres Lip Butter better since they have a hint of color and won’t leave my lips looking so ghostly white.

Kio Kio Rainforest and Koromiko Body Mist Review and Photos

Share

Kio Kio Rainforest and Koromiko Body Mist ($32) ‘On the go’ instant rejuvenation. Spray the gentle mist directly on your skin to soften, energize and rehydrate as often as desired, without leaving an oily texture. Pure, mineral-rich, organic New Zealand spring water, native botanical extracts and beautiful perfume oils refresh the skin, while panthenol, aloe vera, witch hazel and natural glycerin condition the skin.

My Thoughts:

The Kio Kio Rainforest and Koromiko Body Mist goes hand-in-hand with the Kio Kio Rainforest and Koromiko Lotion. I used the Kio Kio Body Mist after applying the Kio Kio Body Lotion whenever I wanted to intensify the fragrance. I also used the body mist on it’s own whenever I wanted a hint of fragrance. The scent was not overwhelming. Instead, it was light and subtle. I was quite surprised how moisturizing the body mist was. I was also glad that the body did not dry out my skin like most body mists do. I also really like the packaging. It’s very simple and pretty. It’s also recyclable!

Note: the body mist contains floating flecks. If it bothers you, just give the bottle a little shake and it’ll disappear.

Kio Kio Rainforest and Koromiko Lotion Review and Photos

Share

Kio Kio Rainforest and Koromiko Lotion ($35) Kio Kio body lotion provides exceptional natural skin nourishment. Gentle and concentrated, it is fragranced with uplifting perfume to create a beautifully sensuous experience. It is formulated with natural ingredients that the skin can easily recognise and absorb, leaving it silky soft and conditioned all day long. Contains beneficial native botanical extracts, pure organic New Zealand spring water, some natural perfume oils and organic emollients including shea butter, jojoba oil and vitamin E. After daily use, your skin will be more pampered and protected from environmental stresses.

My Thoughts:

I’m usually very weary of using scented lotions, because most of the time the scent can be too overwhelming for me resulting in a major allergy attack. I am happy to report I had no problems with the Kio Kio Rainforest and Koromiko Lotion. The scent of the Kio Kio Rainforest and Koromiko Lotion was not strong at all. I was only able to detect a subtle scent over time, and only when people who sat/stood right next to me were able to smell it. The lotion itself is very nice. It’s very light and hydrating. It absorbs quickly into your skin leaving it feeling soft for hours.

What I also like about the Kio Kio Lotion is the packaging. Kio Kio makes a conscious effort to make their packaging recyclable. I also love the box it comes packaged in. It’s so pretty and so simple!

Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara Remover Review

Share

Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara Remover ($10-$15)  This ranks as one of my all time favorite mascara removers. It’s the answer to removing the heavy-duty-doesn’t-budge-no-matter-how-much-remover-I-use mascara. You don’t have to worry about leakage or spillage so it’s absolutely perfect to take with you anywhere and everywhere. Also, it’s not a big bottle or an odd shape that will take up a lot of room. It’s the size of regular mascara. The wand has ridges at the end, and you apply like you would apply mascara. You leave it on for a couple of minutes and then wipe. No more holding a cotton pad soaked with makeup remover against your eye hoping the mascara will come off.  No more losing eyelashes over the constant rubbing. It’s an oil-based formula, but it isn’t too oily or greasy so you don’t have to worry about it blurring your vision. I highly recommend Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara Remover. You can find it at Japanese stores or online, and the price varies depending where you buy it and whether it sold separately or part of a set.
