Lush None Of Your Beeswax Lip Balm Review

Share

Lush None Of Your Beeswax Lip Balm ($6.95) Natural butter balm for the ultimate ethical pout. Tastes of natural lemon, mandarin, vanilla, and has extra virgin coconut oil, murmuru butter and carnauba wax to keep your lips soft and supple. It’s so delicious that all the non-vegans have been using it, too.

My Thoughts:

I couldn’t resist buying Lush’s None Of Your Beeswax Lip Balm because of the name. I chuckle every time I think about it. The lip balm has a citrusy lemon smell and it has no taste. That is all I really like about the lip balm. It wasn’t very moisturizing and when the balm faded, it left my lips drier. What I also didn’t like is how difficult it is to apply. It’s a hard wax so you have to warm it with your finger(s) before you can apply. I also wish the lip balm came in a stick form instead of an open container. I don’t like having to use fingers to apply every time. Speaking of the container. It’s a cheap tin that gets dented easily and doesn’t stay closed. This becomes a big problem when  it’s hot and the lip balm starts to melt. It gets everywhere!

LUSH Lip Scrub Review

LUSH Lip Scrub ($8.95)

Sweet Lips: Sweet Lips is the lip scrub for chocolate fanatics. It smells like a bar of creamy milk chocolate. Vanilla extract keeps your lips moisturized, castor sugar gently exfoliates, and the rich, deep fragrance of cocoa absolute gives this an irresistible flavour. It’s meant for exfoliating and softening your lips, but it’s rather tasty too. Rub it over your lips when they’re feeling the need for some chocolate and sugar.

Bubble Gum: This one will make your lips smell like our seasonal, best-selling Snow Fairy shower gel. Bubblegum Lip Scrub is made with exfoliating castor sugar and our delicious vegan flavour to gently scrub away rough skin, keeping your lips smooth and kissably soft. Simply rub it over your lips when you’re feeling the need for some sugar.

Mint Julips: When you use Mint Julips, you’ll find yourself craving a bowl of mint-chocolate chip ice cream. It’s made with invigorating peppermint oil, which will make your lips feel fresh and tingly, along with sweet vanilla extract to lock in moisture and protect your lips. Simply rub it over your lips when you’re feeling the desire for some fresh Mint Julips.

My Thoughts:

I like these lip scubs, but I don’t like the price. What I like about these lip scrubs is that if you accidentally lick your lips or get some into your mouth while scrubbing, it’s okay. They are edible! Lick away! My favorite flavor is Mint Julips. It tastes like a York Peppermint Patty. Yum…minty chocolate! Sweet Lips also has a chocolate flavor, but it’s more of a cocoa flavor. The lip scrubs do a great job of exfoliating and softening my lips. The scrub doesn’t feel too rough or too soft. It’s just right. They all smell and taste really good too. The one thing I don’t like about the scrubs, besides the price, is the mess. It gets everywhere because the sugar crumbles. Be sure to clean up well because the scrub is made from sugar. I know everyone says I can make my own scrub because basically I bought sugar and oil; items that can be found in the kitchen. Truthfully, I can, but I won’t. I’m too lazy and I know I can never make it as yummy tasting as LUSH’s.

My Thoughts:

I heard so much about Lush’s Dream Cream and the wonders it worked that I had to try it out. I was already put off by the $24.95 price tag, but i figured it’s popular for a reason. Right? I bit the bullet and bought it. I really wish I didn’t. It does not smell good at all. At least to me it doesn’t. It’s a strong lavender herbal smell and the smell lingers for hours. The consistency reminds me of yogurt with some grease. It didn’t absorb quickly into the skin. It felt like it took an eternity to be absorbed. The moisturizing effect wasn’t anything special. I didn’t notice any difference in my skin at all. I also hate the jar-like-tub packaging.I hate having to dip and dig my fingers into the jar. It’s kind of gross.
