I’ve never used a curling iron like the Sarah Potempa Beachwaver before. Once I saw it, I knew I had to have it. It’s a rotating curling iron that gives you beach wavy hair. That’s right. You read it right. A rotating curling iron. The barrel rotates with a touch of a button! I was able to get wavy hair in half the amount of time it would normally take me with a regular curling iron. Another plus is the curling iron isn’t super heavy. Thank goodness!
The Beachwaver is so easy to use. You turn it on and set it to the temperature you want to use it at by pushing the “-” and “+” buttons. The temperature ranges from 310-450°F. You can tell what temperature it is at because there is a digital screen that displays the current temperature. Next, you push the “L” or “R” button to let the Beachwaver know which side you are curling. After that, you clamp a section of your hair to the curling iron and push down on the “Go” button to curl. The barrel rotates and then you let go of the “Go” button to stop the rotation. Easy huh? My favorite thing about the Beachwaver, aside from the rotating barrel, is that it makes curling the back of my hair so easy. I don’t have to worry about whether I’m curling my hair in the correct direction or not.
Aside from all the love I just spewed over the Beachwaver, I do have a couple of complaints. My first complaint is that I wish the “Go” button was placed somewhere else. When I would clamp my hair to the barrel, my finger would almost always push the “Go” button at the same time. I couldn’t help it. It was where my finger would always land when trying to use the clamp. My second complaint is that the clamp gets hot. I could feel the clamp beginning to get warm when I was about halfway done. Thank goodness I was able to finish before it got too hot to touch. Other than those complaints, I only have love for the Sarah Potempa Beachwaver.
