Conair Bun Maker Review and Photos

Conair Bun Maker ($3.49) Make a perfect hair bun every time with Conair’s new Bun Maker Style Kit. Just gather your hair in a ponytail, pull it through the hole in the Bun Maker, then spread your hair around the outside and secure with the included pins. The Bun Maker’s unique size and shape will make a perfect hair bun every time. Try it for yourself and see.

My Thoughts:

Yes! Finally an easy way to make a neat and perfect looking bun. The Conair Bun Maker comes with everything to help you create the perfect bun easily. The kit comes with bobby pins, a hair tie, and a bun maker. All you do is tie your hair into a ponytail, pull it through the bun maker, and wrap your hair around it until your hair covers the bun maker. Secure it with pins and you’re done. I did notice some potential problems that can occur. The first is if your hair is short. I can see it not working because you have to have enough hair to tie it into a ponytail and wrap it around the bun maker. Also if your hair is light colored, I have a feeling you’re going to have a difficult time hiding the bun maker since the bun maker is a dark color. Overall, I really liked the Conair Bun Maker. It’s a great, quick, and easy way to create buns.

Scunci Design Weaver Review and Photos

Share

Scunci Design Weaver ($4.99) Make a statement by weaving fabric through any hairstyle. The Scunci Design Weaver Toolkit includes one oversize hair threading needle and five mesh ribbons in assorted colors to get you started. Now its easy to make dozens of unique hairstyles in just minutes.

My Thoughts:

Scunci’s Design Weaver is a hair weaving tool kit. It comes with colored fabrics and a weaving needle. The design weaver is very easy to use. You just thread the fabric through the needle and then start weaving it through your already styled hair. It’s that simple! You can use the Design Weaver with short hair and even with super long hair. The fabric is very light weight. It weighs almost next to nothing so you don’t have to worry about it weighing down/flattening your hairstyle. Overall, I wouldn’t use this on myself. I feel I’m too old to be weaving colorful fabric through my hair. I think the Scunci Design Weaver would be better suited for young girls. They would love the colorful fabric weaved through their hair.

Conair French Twist Updo Kit Review and Photos

Share

Conair French Twist Updo Kit ($3.49) French twist and other updo hairstyles are a breeze with Conair’s new French Twist Updo Kit. Just insert your hair into the special french twist barrette and roll your hair into a perfect twist. Works for high and low french twists or can be used to add volume to dozens of other looks. Instructions are included.

My Thoughts:

I really liked the idea of a hair tool helping create the french twist look. The Conair French Twist Updo Kit comes with everything you will need: an updo clip and bobby pins. I wish I could get the French Updo to work on me. It would’ve been a great alternative to my usual ponytail or bun hairstyle. The main problem for me was the amount of hair the updo clip could clip and hold. You all probably know by now I have enough hair for three people. Just by looking at the clip, I knew there was no way the clip would work on my hair. Even when I tried to put half my hair up into a French Twist, the updo clip still wouldn’t work on my hair. I think the Conair French Twist Updo Kit will only work for people who don’t have have an excess amount of hair.

Scunci Bendini Review and Photos

Share

Scunci Bendini ($4.99)

My Thoughts:

The Scunci Bendini is a hair comb and clip put together.  It offers many different designs for all age groups to be used for all types of events. You can use it for school dances (perfect for upcoming prom!), weddings, a date night, or even just to work or school. It’s very easy to use. You just place the comb into your hair and bend to snap the Bendini into place for an all day long hold. There was no tugging or snagging of hair when placing the comb into my hair or removing the Bendini at the end of the day!

The only problems I ran into when using the Bendini was (1) I thought I was going to snap the Bendini in half when bending it because it’s a little stiff. I wasn’t sure I was bending it in the right direction. But on the positive side, if it wasn’t stiff, it wouldn’t be able to stay in place all day long right? (2) The comb part can hold only so much hair. Since I have so much hair (and it’s thick), I felt it was only good for pulling back my bangs.

Overall, Scunci’s Bendini is a great alternative to using bobby pins and boring barrettes to keep hair out of your face.

Scunci Expandable Ponytailer Review

Share

Scunci Expandable Ponytailer ($2.99) Finally, a clip that can expand to fit every type of hair. This expandable ponytailer makes ponytails and buns fast and easy. Just expand the clip, thread your hair through the middle, then collapse for a snug fit that will last all day.

My Thoughts:

I love the concept and the design, but it’s not a product for me or for people who have a lot of hair. I noticed for my friends who have a normal* amount of hair it worked great. The Expandable Ponytailer is a circular accordion-type clip that opens and expands to about 2.25 inches (5.5cm) diameter. The inside of the clip is lined with teeth that grab onto your hair for a secure hold.

When I tied my hair up in a bun and tried to place the clip around the bun, it wouldn’t fit because of my excess amount of thick hair. When I used it as a ponytail holder, it worked. Because of my large amount of hair, I had to tie my hair up with an elastic hair tie first to make sure my ponytail stayed in place. For me, the Expandable Ponytailer acted more like a stylish way to hid the elastic. For my friends with normal amount of hair, they were able to secure their buns with the Expandable Ponytailer easily, and tie their hair up in a ponytail minus the use of an elastic hair tie. I really wish the Scunci Expandable Ponytailer worked for me. It would’ve been perfect for work.

*I don’t mean to offend anyone by saying “normal”. By “normal” I mean about 1/3 to 1/2 the amount of hair I have. Yes, I have that much hair. I have enough hair for 2-3 people.
