NYX Fly With Me Mascara Review, Photos, and Swatch

NYX Fly With Me Mascara ($13) The sky is the limit with this mascara! NYX’s new “Fly with Me” formula intensifies lashes 100x’s making average lashes infinitely long, boldy black and provides intense coverage for extreme thickness.

My Thoughts:

NYX’s Fly With Me Mascara certainly delivered its promise of longer, boldy black lashes, but not so much on the extreme thickness. The mascara did a great job of separating and defining my lashes and making them super long. I didn’t experience any clumping or smudging from the moment I applied the mascara to the moment I removed it. I even worked out at the gym with the mascara on! The mascara also did a great job of keeping my lashes curled all day long.

The bristles on the mascara brush are plastic, and the wand goes from round and fat at the top to slim at the bottom. The formula has fibers and is not too wet or drying. The fibers  did a really great job helping with the lengthening of lashes. Fly With Me was very easy to remove. It didn’t smudge along bottom of eye.  Instead, the mascara removed in long tube-like fibers.

Overall, NYX’s Fly With Me Mascara is good, but not great. I think if it provided a lot more volume, then it would’ve been an amazing mascara.

NYX Propel My Eyes Mascara Review, Photos, and Swatch

Share

NYX Propel My Eyes Mascara ($13) Propel your lashes to new heights with our new high-definition mascara. Propel My Eyes Mascara instantly lifts eyelashes while intensifying. Contains dl-panthenol and green tea extracts that condition and add shine. Special applicator brush is designed with a 4-way pinwheel multi-cut at right angles which disperses the conditioning mascara while pushing up lashes for optimal lash separation and even distribution. The results? No clumps and gorgeous long lashes!

My Thoughts:

Love! NYX’s Propel My Eyes Mascara is perfect for adding appropriate day-time volume to your lashes. It’s the type of mascara you would use if you didn’t want your lashes looking obviously fake and gooped with mascara. Propel My Eyes gave my lashes the appropriate amount of lift and volume to grab attention, but yet still look natural.  The mascara only comes in one shade: Jet Black, and it is truly Jet Black. Usually mascaras that are super black have a really wet formula and smudge automatically if you blink before it dries; not NYX’s Propel My Eyes. Propel My Eyes had a wet formula, but it dried quickly enough so mascara wouldn’t end up underneath your eyes when you blinked, and it didn’t smudge throughout the whole day! Also, mascaras with wet formulas can never hold a curl. So it came to quite a pleasant surprise when my lashes stayed curled all day long! I think what helped my lashes look natural is the conditioning quality of the mascara. The mascara didn’t dry out my lashes as the hours passed. Instead, my lashes stayed soft and shiny black.

The mascara wand had an interesting shape. It had an hour glass shape: fat on the ends and thin in the middle. This helped with reaching the inner and outer lashes and lifting the lashes. Also, it helped my lashes from clumping. NYX Propel My Eyes is an absolute must-try!

Maybelline Volum’ Express the Falsies Mascara Review

Share

Maybelline Volum’ Express the Falsies Mascara ($7.49)

  • Patented Spoon brush and Kera-fiber formula instantly build 8x more volume without clumping.
  • Unique flexible wand helps to lift and separate lashes to provide the look of 300% more lashes.
  • Ophthalmologist tested
  • Contact lens safe

My Thoughts:

This is an okay mascara. It’s not one of Maybelline’s bests. I was able to get long lashes with a bit of volume but not falsies like lashes. For some reason, I was hoping for super thick, long lashes. I didn’t like how the formula was really wet. The wet formula caused my lashes to clump together, but nothing a lash comb can’t cure. It was more of a nuisance. I also didn’t like how difficult it was to remove. No matter how much you soak and rub, traces of the mascara still clings to your lashes. The flexible wand was a bit weird. I haven’t gotten used to it yet so I felt it made applying  a little bit more difficult. Volum’ Express the Falsies mascara is not an everyday mascara. It’s more of a night-out-on-town kind of mascara. I would have to say Maybelline Volum’ Express the Falsies Mascara is a high maintenance mascara. If you have time and patience to apply and remove the mascara, it could possibly be a holy grail.

Maybelline XXL Pro 24 HR Bold Mascara Review

Share

Maybelline XXL Pro 24 HR Bold Mascara ($6.49) This mascara is a 2 step mascara. The first step is primer that is black instead of white which I love because you don’t have to worry about the white showing or the black color turning grey. I’m not sure if the mascara can last 24 hours because I have never worn the mascara for that long. Although, it did last all day and night. The best feature of Maybelline XXL Pro 24 HR Bold mascara is that it will give your lashes a lot of volume boost. I found 1 coat is adequate enough for volume. With 2 coats, you will get enough volume to create the look of false eyelashes. However, I did notice a bit of flaking when applying the second coat of mascara. I also found it a bit more difficult to remove the mascara than other mascaras.

Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara Review

Share

Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara ($3.59) Rimmel Extra Super Lash is an okay mascara. It doesn’t clump. It doesn’t dry out my lashes. It just doesn’t give your lashes a lot of dramatic effect. The effect is more natural. I suppose it is enhancing your natural lashes. The formula is rather wet, causing the mascara to take awhile to dry so you have to be careful not to blink right away or you will end up with mascara underneath your eye. Every time you pull the wand out of the tube, so much product is stuck to the brush that you have to wipe it off. The mascara is good for layering. You won’t end up with spidery, dry lashes. I don’t know. Maybe because the name of the mascara is “Extra Super Lash” that I was expecting something wonderful and awesome and not something so subtle and natural.
