My Thoughts:
Yay! Another mascara I love. I really like mascara that gives my lashes volume but doesn’t make it look over the top. This is what exactly Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Flawless Definition Volumizing mascara does. It gives my lashes volume but still allows them to look soft and natural. The mascara goes on thin and allows you to keep layering until you get what you want without your lashes getting clumpy or spidery. Also, it is really black. I love mascaras that are really black! The mascara brush is fat and has a lot of bristles to make sure every one of your lashes gets coated. Another plus is that after a few hours, my lashes still look as good as they did when I first applied the mascara and there were no smudges or flakes. I even wore it while I worked out and still no smudges! Do keep in mind that the Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Flawless Definition Volumizing mascara isn’t the type of voluminizing mascara that gives your lashes dramatic volume. With that said, I highly recommend the mascara for people who want to add soft, natural looking volume to their lashes.

Stila Forever Your Curl Curl Memory Mascara ($22) A long-wearing mascara that curls lashes instantly and over time. This mascara features innovative lash-curl memory that continually curls lashes throughout the day and a proprietary curling resin that dries down and holds the curl of lashes for long-lasting results. A unique brush coats and extends each individual lash for eye-popping results. Its intense carbon black hue delivers a lush, dramatic lash line from base to tip.
My Thoughts:
I am sorry to say I did not like Stila Forever Your Curl Curl Memory Mascara. The mascara couldn’t curl my lashes on its own without the help of my trusty eyelash curler. When my lashes were curled, the mascara couldn’t hold a curl for very long. I want to say a couple of hours at tops. Also, after a couple of hours I noticed mascara smudges and flakes underneath my eyes. A big no-no! Some flakes even got into my eyes! Another negative find is it takes forever and a day to dry. I hate trying not to blink while I wait for mascara to dry. And since the mascara has a wet formula, it makes layering difficult because it makes your lashes look spikey and a bit goopey. A good thing about the Stila Forever Your Curl Curl Memory Mascara is that it does separate lashes and add a bit of length. Although, the lengthening could have been just an illusion because it darkened my lashes. Sadly, there are not enough positives to cancel out all the negatives.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Lash Mascara ($22) A mascara that gives the lashes curl, volume, length, and intense pigment. This ultra-pigmented mascara was specially designed to give the lashes an exceptional volume-enhancing effect with infinite lengthening and immediate curling. The tough, dense brush of this Sephora-exclusive mascara penetrates into the roots of the lash to ensure that lash is completely coated with mascara.
My Thoughts:
Make Up For Ever’s Smoky Lash Mascara is absolutely amazing! The formula isn’t so wet where it weighs down your lashes and uncurls it. The mascara really adds a lot of volume and length to my pin straight lashes. I think it has to do with the fat bristly mascara wand. It also doesn’t clump, flake or give me spidery lashes. Gotta love that! Ready for the big downer of the Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash mascara? It dries out so fast. After a few uses, I noticed the change. To me, at the rapid rate it dries out, having to spend $22 every time to replace the mascara is just way too much. So close Make Up For Ever! So close!

My Thoughts:
I really like Tarte’s Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart mascara. It’s a really good mascara for natural looking lashes. The mascara gives enough volume and length to your lashes to make them more noticeable but not overly dramatic. Also, the mascara doesn’t clump, smudge, or flake! It stays on all day and comes off easily when you remove it. I love that it didn’t dry out my lashes. Instead, my lashes felt soft. Overall, even though I liked the mascara, I feel you can find cheaper costing mascaras that work just as well. I couldn’t find a feature of the Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart mascara that stood out to justify the price tag.
