Orly Nail Rescue ($7.99) The Orly Nail Rescue Kit is a complete kit from Orly that includes three products to fix cracked, split or broken nails, so nails grow long and beautiful. A unique formula and easy application makes repair long-lasting and almost invisible!
Kit includes nail repair brush on glue, nail repair powder and a mini-buffer.
Orly Nail Rescue is by far my favorite product of 2013 thus far. I cannot believe I have lived this long without. Orly Nail Rescue helps mend broken or chipped nails. No more sporting a band-aid over my broken nail until it grows out. No more cutting it super short. The repair kit comes with everything you need to fix your nail: glue, powder, and a buffer. It is very easy and quick too. All you do is brush on a little bit of glue over the chipped/broken part of your nail. Then, you dip your nail into the powder. Lastly, you wait for the glue to dry (depends on how much you layered on) and when it does, you buff it smooth so the glue is smooth and blends with your nail. Once you have the glue and powder all buffed out, you can’t even really tell your nail is broken. If you paint nail polish over your broken, you really can’t notice your nail is broken at all. It’s amazing! The glue and powder holds up very well too! It held my nail together for almost 3 weeks before I noticed the glue starting to chip off a little bit. But that was okay, because by then my nail was ready to be clipped.
I simply cannot rave enough about the Orly Nail Rescue. It’s a gift from heaven I tell you! You can find it at Sally’s Beauty. I included a link above next to the listed cost.
Quick tip: don’t paint on too much glue because that means you have more to buff away once it dries. Just apply a thin layer of glue. If you feel it’s not thick enough, you can always layer another layer after it dries. Don’t be like me and pile on the glue all in one shot. Work in thin layers.

Zoya PixieDust Special Texture Edition ($54; $9 each) fused with magic and wonder! The latest “must-have” nail polish finish – textured, matte and sparkling! This newly developed formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other. The color experts at Zoya have created six, long-wearing stunners for the introduction of this enchanting look.
I originally wasn’t interested in the Zoya PixieDust collection because it reminded of glitter. However, after seeing swatches pop up on blogs and seeing how gorgeous and un-glitter like it was, I had to own it. Unlike glitter, the polish goes on so easily, just like regular nail polish. It goes on glossy and dries matte. In the photos below, you can see it drying; changing from glossy to matte. Also unlike glitter, the texture is different. It isn’t gritty and scratchy like how glitter can be. The Pixiedust polish feels bumpy, sort of how sandpaper feels bumpy but not as rough. The only thing the PixieDust shares with glitter is how it shined and sparkled. It’s suggested that you don’t use a base or top coat, but I decided to try it with a top coat just to see what it would look like. It looked amazing! The formula is a little bit on the sheer side but not a lot. You will need about 2-3 coats for full opacity. In the swatches below, I used 2 coats. I love all the shades, but my favorite shades from this collection are Dahlia (black) and Godiva (champagne). Overall, I love this collection. It’s unique and something I haven’t seen.

Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish in Whitehall (Regular $16; Sale $7) A revolutionary magnetic nail lacquer used to create stunning 3D nail art designs in chic metallic shades. Get the wow factor with this revolutionary polish that lets you create gorgeous nail art effects in just a few minutes using nails inc. Textured, special effects nails are big news for this season and the ultimate fashion and party accessory. This unique formula has been specially developed with metallic particles to create a pattern on the nail using magnetic forces. As the magnet is held over the nail, the iron powder in the formulation gravitates toward the magnet forming the pattern secretly hidden in the magnet for an astonishing finish. The magnet is included in the cap of the nail polish.
Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish in Whitehall is a metallic teal shade. The formula is really thick. You definitely do not need more than one coat. It also dries very quickly. Like really quickly. The nail polish bottle comes with two caps. The outer cap is the magnet that you use to create the magnetic design. Underneath the magnetic cap is the cap for the nail polish bottle.
I can’t compare this to other magnetic nail polishes because this is the first one I’ve ever used. But from my experience with Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish, it was really easy to use. After prepping your nails and applying your base coat, you apply one coat of the Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish. Next, you very quickly hold the magnet above the nail while it is still wet. On the cap is a small lip at the end of the cap (the plastic thing that sticks up), you place that on your cuticle. This allows the magnet to be positioned perfectly above your nail. You just hold the magnet in place for about 10-15 seconds and viola! You have your magnetic design. Because the nail polish dries so quickly, you can only do one nail at a time. That is the only downside I found.
Overall, I really liked Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish. I will definitely look for other shades to try.

Butter London in Sprog ($14) Butter London 3 Free Nail Lacquers are DPB, Toulene and formaldehyde free.
Butter London in Sprog is a periwinkle shade with a hint of lavender. Sprog has a creamy formula that goes on really easily and smoothly. You don’t need more than two coats to get full opacity. It’s a fun color that isn’t too bright and still looks classy at the same time. It kind of reminds me of a snowy winter day. Sprog is a shade exclusive to Ulta. So it can only be found at Ulta or through Butter London. I really like Butter London’s Sprog. I don’t own a shade that is a dupe for it and I find it quite unique.

Bundle Monster Nail Stamping Plate Zipper Leather Case Organizer ($14.99) We have the ultimate storing solution for your Bundle Monster nail stamping plates – we have designed our exclusive stamping plate zippered organizer! This portfolio styled case has a modern shiny vinyl, faux-croc skin textured outter cover with a soft velvet-like lining. This holder includes 14 soft, matte, see-through vinyl pages that have 6 slots per page. Each slot is designed and is strong enough to hold 2 plates per slot, which gives you 168 plate storage! Each slot fits a standard 5.6 cm nail plate and has a U-grooved design to make putting in and pulling out nail plates that much easier. Its portfolio design is slender and thin which makes storing the case easy for tight storage or easy to pick up and go for your nail parties. This case is also great for professional settings like a nail salon. The front of the case has the official “BM” logo etched in metal.
I love this case! I needed a way to organize all my stamping plates and this leather case is perfect for the job. Prior to the case, I was storing my nail stamping plates in a box. It was an absolute pain in the butt to dig through the box looking for a specific plate. The leather case reminds of of the CD cases I would use to hold CDs. This case holds 2 plates per slot and there are 6 slots per page. The case comes with 14 pages. So after all the math, the case can hold up to 168 nail plates total! That’s a lot of nail plates! Even though it may seem putting 2 nail plates into 1 slot may be a tight squeeze, I didn’t have any trouble sliding any of the plates in and out of the slots. The case itself is pretty small and won’t take up a lot of room at all. Just imagine 3 plates by 2 plates. It’s very sturdy and can take quite a hit. I’ve dropped and scratched it on accident, and it still looks like new. Even the pages are study too. I don’t think they will be ripping or tearing anytime soon. If you’re looking for a way to organize your nail stamping plates, this case is a good option to consider.
