Arbonne Awaken Body Lotion Review

Share

Arbonne Awaken Body Lotion ($20) Wake up to a bright new day with this rich moisturizer and conditioner — formulated with the Awaken Essential Oil Blend — to uplift and refresh both skin and senses.

My Thoughts:

Arbonne’s Awaken Body Lotion is a light lotion with a light lemony fragrance. It’s the type of lotion you use, and the fragrance wakes up your senses. Awaken Body Lotion provided enough moisture to last from morning until the end of the day. I liked that the lotion wasn’t too liquidy or too thick. My skin was able to absorb the lotion pretty quickly and no greasy residue was left behind. The lemony fragrance lasted for hours, but it was faint. It’s great for people who suffer from allergies like me, because the fragrance won’t irritate your nose. Even though I do like the lotion, I do have some complaints. First off, the price. I think the $20 price tag is high for lotion that didn’t do anything spectacular. Two, the bottle. The lotion comes in a hard plastic bottle. This makes it difficult to squeeze the bottle with one hand. Overall, I felt it was just an ordinary lotion. There wasn’t anything in particular that made it stand out.

My Thoughts:

I love the smell of Pikake, the flower this is used to decorate leis. It reminds me of Hawaii or a tropical resort. For a lotion, the Lanikai Bath and Body Pikake Body Lotion was surprisingly very moisturizing and hydrating. It wasn’t too liquidy or runny. I liked that it absorbed into my skin very quickly. Also, the lotion didn’t leave me looking and/or feeling greasy.  Applying and rubbing in the lotion was very easy because of its smooth texture. There was one thing I didn’t like about the Lanikai Bath and Body Pikake Body Lotion, the strength of the fragrance. It was a bit too strong for my liking and lingered a tad too long. Overall, it is a very good lotion that is worth giving a try.

Lush Dream Cream Body Cream Review

Share

Lush Dream Cream Body Cream ($24.95) If you’ve got skin with severe problems, you could spend your whole life dreaming of a clear, trouble-free epidermis. Give our best-selling Dream Cream a try; we get loads of emails about how well it works. With a base of oat milk (traditionally used to calm skin), it’s packed with every calming plant we could find: tea tree, lavender and chamomile, moisturizing olive oil and loads more. If it seems nothing works to calm your skin, apply a healthy dose of this, our best-selling cream. You can thank us later.

My Thoughts:

I heard so much about Lush’s Dream Cream and the wonders it worked that I had to try it out. I was already put off by the $24.95 price tag, but i figured it’s popular for a reason. Right? I bit the bullet and bought it. I really wish I didn’t. It does not smell good at all. At least to me it doesn’t. It’s a strong lavender herbal smell and the smell lingers for hours. The consistency reminds me of yogurt with some grease. It didn’t absorb quickly into the skin. It felt like it took an eternity to be absorbed. The moisturizing effect wasn’t anything special. I didn’t notice any difference in my skin at all. I also hate the jar-like-tub packaging.I hate having to dip and dig my fingers into the jar. It’s kind of gross.

Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion Review

Share

skin-md-natural-shielding-lotion Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion ($18) Skin MD Natural is a shielding lotion, a very special type of lotion helping the skin restore its integrity, enhance its protective functions so that the skin is able to heal naturally and regain its youthful appearance. Skin MD Natural works by bonding with cells of the skin’s outermost layer to form what works as an invisible shield. This layer of protection prevents environmental irritants and pollutants from penetrating the skin, while sealing in the skin’s own natural oils and moisture, helping resolve the dry skin condition. Skin MD Natural uses only the finest natural ingredients, and is focused on urging the skin to be active, and to use its own moisture to effectively heal itself. It is not oily or sticky, doesn’t sit on top of your skin leaving a greasy residue on everything you touch, it doesn’t rub or wash off easily, is hypoallergenic, fragrance, colorant and paraben free and dermatology tested.

My Thoughts:

I’ve been using Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion for nearly a year. I was first introduced to it when my work started carrying the line. The customers that would come in and see the display would always ask me if it worked or not. Embarrassed, I would tell them I didn’t know. I know. What a great sales person I am.  I just hate recommending products I don’t know much about or don’t believe in. Not knowing much about Skin MD and the constant questions from customers made me try Skin MD. Thank goodness I did because I fell in love with it.

Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion is a light, thin (almost watery) lotion. I suffer from dry skin, especially during the winter. It’s really weird because it doesn’t get really cold in California during the winter and yet I have dry skin. For a thin lotion, Skin MD is so moisturizing. It is also quickly absorbed into the skin. So, no waiting around for the lotion to be absorb before you get dressed/ready. It’s a pricey bottle of lotion, but a little goes a long way. A pea sized drop is all I need to moisturize both my arms. Less than a quarter sized drop is all I need to moisturize my whole body (I’m 5’5). The moisturizing effects lasted the whole day for me. I can’t say it’s my favorite lotion because I’m not a fan of the thin, almost watery consistency. I prefer thicker lotions for traveling purposes.
