Snowberry Bright Defence Day Cream No 1 Review

Share

Snowberry Bright Defence Day Cream No 1 ($59) Bright Defence is different from our other creams and serums, says Soraya. In Bright Defence I wanted creams and serums suitable for skin from age 18 to 80, that combined heavy loadings of free-radical combating anti-oxidants, with natural brightening ingredients that help to smooth uneven skin tone. Especially suitable for oily skin, The Bright Defence Day Cream No.1 contains many nourishing herbal emollients and anti-oxidants, including Rosehip, Grapeseed, Passion Flower and macadamia, as well as the very special New Zealand Harakeke Oil, cultivated in the Snowberry gardens. The Day Cream also contains the essential glycosaminoglycan, hyaluronic acid to boost deep hydration and water retention. Safe and gentle skin brightening agents include ODA White, Chromabright and Seppicalm. A day cream to be used in the morning after cleansing and toning.

My Thoughts:

There are 3 Snowberry Bright Defence Day Creams. No 1 is for people with oily and combination skin. No 2 is for normal skin. No 3 is for dry skin. This review is for No 1.

I like the Snowberry Bright Defence Day Cream. It’s very light and kept my skin moisturized all day. It didn’t leave my face looking or feeling greasy, oily. The cream absorbed very quickly, and I had no trouble wearing it underneath my makeup. Also, it had the usual light, organic natural scent like all the other Snowberry products I’ve used.  I do wish the Snowberry Bright Defense Day Cream had SPF. That would make it a true day cream in my opinion. Would I repurchase? No, I wouldn’t. To me it’s just a regular day cream. Even though I like it, there wasn’t anything special about it. Also, the $59 cost doesn’t help either.

Snowberry Intensive Renewal Face Serum Review

Snowberry Intensive Renewal Face Serum ($90) From age 25, skin really needs a Peptide Punch! In the Snowberry Intensive Renewal Face Serum, Soraya says, I have incorporated a unique blend of five peptide complexes including Arginenine Lysine Polypeptide to inhibit damaging glycation; and Pentatpeptide-18 to relax the muscle contractions that lead to deep wrinkles. This very advanced Serum gently repairs stressed skin, actively reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, while stimulating natural collagen and elastin production. Powerful and yet gentle, natural and yet highly effective, the Face Serum is the perfect ‘skin essence,’ she says, an extraordinary synergy of applied science and pure Nature. giving powerful effect to her promise of truly beautiful skin, safely and naturally.

My Thoughts:

Just like the Snowberry Bright Defence Face Serum, the price tag just about knocked me out. Also, just like the Snowberry Bright Defence Face Serum, it’s more of a cream than a serum and the color is the same. But unlike the Snowberry Bright Defence Face Serum, I like the Snowberry Intensive Face Serum. It absorbed really well and made my skin feel super soft and so silky, smooth. The serum feels very light weight and non greasy. There is a light scent. It smells really organic/natural. I cannot comment on whether it made my wrinkles less noticeable, because it has only been a couple weeks since I started using it. Overall, I wouldn’t repurchase the Snowberry Intensive Renewal Face Serum because of the hefty price tag. Why oh why does it have to be $90!?

Snowberry Bright Defence Face Serum Review

Share

Snowberry Bright Defence Face Serum ($69) This very serious, rapid delivery anti-glycation and anti-free radical formulation helps to safeguard against cellular damage while helping to reducing the causes of discolouration. Most unusually, the Bright Defence Face Serum is designed to help counter the ‘sticky’ sugar molecules that adhere to and can damage healthy skin proteins in the process called glycation. For this purpose the Serum contains the very effective black tea extract Kombuchka. Other clinically proven ingredients include the anti-oxidant Vitamin C, ODA White, Chromabright and Seppicalm, all of which help to safely and gently reduce melanin synthesis, without peeling or bleaching, and so contribute to a brighter, more radiant skin.

My Thoughts:

I’m not going to lie. When I saw the price tag on the Snowberry Bright Defence Face Serum, I just about died. $69 is quite a price tag. I wasn’t a big fan of it either. First off, it felt more like a moisturizer than a serum. It even looked more like a cream (a dark tannish color) than a serum. The Snowberry Bright Defence Face Serum was thick too. I also noticed it left my face looking and feeling a bit greasy and oily. I also wasn’t a fan of the sticky feeling it left behind either. Even though overall I did not end up liking it, I did notice my skin did look brighter. It wasn’t a lot brighter, but slightly noticeable. Also, my skin felt softer. Another positive is that even though the serum was on the thick side, it felt very light and had nice,  light natural scent. In the end, the Snowberry Bright Defence Face Serum just isn’t for me.
