Lauren’s personal anecdotes and illustrated step-by-step lessons for makeup, hair, and nails will have you looking great for day or night.

My Thoughts:

I love Lauren Conrad! I already own her Lauren Conrad Style book so it makes sense I would get the Lauren Conrad Beauty book too right?

The Beauty book is set up just like the Style book: lots of photos and tutorials. She starts with basics and works her way up to tutorials.  I really like how simple the book is. It’s a really easy read and isn’t difficult to understand. Even though a lot of the information she presented I already knew, I still wanted the book. I just love the photos in the book. What I also like about the book is that there are a lot of tutorials. A lot of the tutorials help you create her signature looks, which is great if you like Lauren’s look. Her tutorials are also great because they are simple. None of them are complicated and are great for everyday looks.

Overall, I love the book. It’s great for Lauren Conrad fans or for anybody looking to learn basic beauty info and looks.

Lauren Conrad Style Book Review and Photos

Lauren Conrad Style ($19.99) You’ve seen Lauren Conrad on TV and red carpets, looking fabulous whether she’s going casual for a day with friends or dressed for a night out. Now Lauren reveals how you can adapt her classic, understated style for yourself.

In her first-ever style guide, Lauren offers tips on how to create your own unique look, shares her favorite sources of inspiration, and identifies the absolute must-haves for any fashionista’s wardrobe. Along the way, she examines her fashion evolution, from California-casual teen to camera-ready style icon and clothing designer.

From beauty advice and hair secrets to how to shop vintage or find the perfect T-shirt, Lauren Conrad Style unlocks the mysteries of being effortlessly chic. With Lauren’s guidance, you’ll look and feel stylish every day.

My Thoughts:

Lauren Conrad Style is an 11 chapter, 230 page how-to book. Lauren covers all kinds of topics regarding style from head to toe. She covers topics like how to shop, how to style a piece of clothing to make it look different every time, how to pack, and the basic pieces everybody should have. She even includes beauty and hair chapters!

I’ve been on the fence about whether I should purchase the book. I’ve heard and read mixed reviews, but I’ve been a fan of Lauren’s since the Laguna Beach days. I finally gave in when I was able to get the book for half the retail price. I didn’t find the book entirely helpful. A lot of the info she presented I already knew. What I really like about the book is the photos. I’m a sucker for photos. Her book is full of pretty photos! Every page has photos. Of course the photos are of her, but still….I also like that Lauren doesn’t push or mention a certain brand or product. It allows the reader to work with what they have and can afford.

Overall, the book is an easy read. I was able to finish it under an hour. I thought the book was very personable and relateable.  She includes little bits of info about her likes and dislikes and personal experiences and mistakes. The book is for the type of person who likes simple, clean looks. It’s also a fun book to have and to pull out for inspirations.

She then explains the different type of products for the face, eyes, lips, and cheeks. Everything from natural to classy to bronzed beauty to bridal. There are so many looks you are bound to find one perfect for you.
