FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara Review and Photos

FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara ($24) A volumizing, water- and sweat-resistant mascara with a brush so unique it is patented in Japan. This do-it-all mascara is blended with fiber to give you lush, doll-like lashes. The unique brush catches even the tiniest lashes, defines, lengthens, and provides all-day curl. FAIRYDROPS mascara was created by Japanese TV personality Aya Yasuda. Realizing that the eyes are the secret to making a great impression, she was inspired to create a new mascara wand that is now patented in Japan. The Scandal Queen formula is available exclusively in the U.S.

My Thoughts:

Fairydrops Scandal Queen mascara is better at lengthening than adding volume. Even though it did add some volume to my lashes, I didn’t notice it as much as I noticed the extra length it added. What lengthens your lashes and adds volume are the fibers/tubes in the mascara. I found it worked best if only 1 or 2 coats was used. Layer on more than that and you’ll get clumps. The formula is just too wet to layer. Because the mascara has a wet formula, it couldn’t hold a curl. The wand is very interesting. I’ve never seen a mascara wand that curved and have 3 bumps before. The design did not help combat the problem of clumping. I think it made it worse. The mascara wand would collect too much mascara. The one major thing I didn’t like about the Fairydrops Scandal Queen mascara is that the fibers/tubes flake off your lashes. By the end of the day I had tiny flakes all over my under eye and some even in my eye! Overall, I don’t think this mascara is all that great. I can find drugstore mascaras that have the fiber/tube formula that work better.

Model 21 False Eyelash Review

Share

Model 21 False Eyelash ($5.95 to $8.95) All of our false eyelashes are 100% handmade to exact specifications with sterilized human hair in black or hair-like fiber in dramatic or colored lashes. Each pattern and design is perfectly shaped and arranged to give a striking effect to the fake eyelashes.  Whether the look is natural or dramatic wearing eyelash extensions will give you the look you desire.

My Thoughts:

I love Model 21 False Eyelashes! Not only are they so affordable (you get 10 pairs per box!), but they are very easy to use. The band is thin and flexible so you can mold and bend it to your liking. The lashes also feel very light. You won’t even notice you have them on. There are a lot of different styles to choose from: natural to dramatic to demure and everything in between. The lashes are a tad on the long side so you might need to trim a little bit. You can use the part you cut off for your bottom lashes. I also love that as long as you take care of them and clean them you’ll be able to use them multiple times. I highly recommend Model 21 False Eyelashes.

Kiss Me Heroine Mascara Review

Share

Kiss Me Heroine Mascara (price varies $10-$18) I got both the Make Volume and Curl and the  Make Long and Curl from a store in a Japanese grocery store, but I am sure you can find it online. To me, this mascara is the perfect mascara to get through the hot California summers and that is why I only use it during the summer. It’s the only mascara I use during the summer. This mascara is sweat proof, tear proof, water proof. It’s basically budge proof. It’s so budge proof that I have a bit of difficulty removing it. Besides being budge proof, this baby can hold a curl all day and night. I layer on both the mascaras to get volume and length. The mascara wand is a small to medium brush so it makes it easier to coat your lashes with the fibers. I would recommend the Kiss Me Heroine Mascara to people, but I’m not sure how people feel about tough-to-remove mascaras. I guess if  you have lots of patience and don’t mind taking the time to remove the mascara, I say give the mascara a try.

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner Review

Share

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner ($12.30) Koji Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner has a ultra fine yet flexible point tip, which allow greater precision with a easy to handle eyelining experience. The deep dazzling black can accentuate the glamorous eyes of yours, giving you a more defined look. This eyeliner is waterproof, sweat proof and with the quick dry formula, the eyeliner can stay on for hours without a smudge. Your look will be long wearing and gorgeous even without touch-up.

My Thoughts:

Dolly Wink is a new brand that was launched in late 2009. Tsubasa Masuwaka, a former model, teamed up with Koji to release Dolly Wink. One of the products that is part of the line is the Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner. I got this from Sasa.com. I am so in love with it! It comes out truly black. It’s very pigmented and bold. What I really like about it is it’s easy to control. It’s the size of a regular pen. And just like what a liquid liner supposed to do, it lasts and doesn’t budge! I wish it wasn’t so pricey.
