Loreal Paris Age Pefect Skin Supporting and Hydrating Makeup Foundation Review

Loreal Paris Age Pefect Skin Supporting and Hydrating Makeup Foundation ($16.99) I know this is suppose to be for “mature skin,” but you know what? I don’t care because it works wonders! It’s long lasting and doesn’t budge. The hydrating quality gives your complexion a non-greasy, radiant, healthy glow. I like that it is a mousse texture so I don’t have to worry about it being runny or spilling. The foundation provides medium coverage and doesn’t settle into fine lines. It’s non-cakey and looks very natural. It does come with it’s own foundation brush, but I like to use my own. I would have to say this one of the best drugstore foundations. I cannot tell you the number of compliments I received every time I use this foundation. Everybody kept telling me I had such wonderful skin. Little did they know, it was the foundation.

Revlon Colorstay Mineral Mousse Makeup Review

revlon-colorstay-mineral-mousse-makeup Revlon Colorstay Mineral Mousse Makeup ($13.99) A flawless matte finish in a refreshingly lightweight mousse.

  • Unique, air-whipped texture for a soft matte finish.
  • 16-hour ColorStay Longwear for lasting perfection.

My Thoughts:

This foundation feels very light. It’s easy to apply and blendable. I wouldn’t recommend layering on layers because it will end up looking cakey. The staying power is great and easily removable when you wash your face. It’s a matte foundation that does stay matte for the majority of the day. People who are really oily may need a little powdering touch-up. It hasn’t caused any breakouts (thank goodness!). I wouldn’t recommend the foundation for people with dry skin or winter usage because it can/will accentuate dry spots. This is more for people who have oily skin and during the summer.

Maybelline Pure Makeup Review

maybelline-pure-makeup Maybelline Pure Makeup ($5.99)

Why You’ll Love It

This shine-free foundation with H2O is formulated with 50% water instead of pore-clogging oils that can cause breakouts.

My Thoughts:

I am not a fan of this foundation. It really doesn’t provide any coverage at all. It is sort of like a tinted moisturizer, except you need to apply moistuirzer before you apply Maybelline Pure Makeup. Besides the lack of coverage, it also lacks staying power. By midday, the foundation had disappeared. For longer staying power, I would apply a finish powdering after apply the foundation. Even then, it still didn’t last. If you’re looking for sheer coverage this could be for you.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Review

maybelline-dream-matte-mousseMaybelline Dream Matte Mousse ($9.49)

Why You’ll Love It

Revolutionary whipped formula provides an air-soft, perfect matte finish coverage, with a weightless feel.

  • Color pigments offer superior coverage
  • Blends effortlessly for a soft, natural-looking, even-toned result
  • Now in 16 shades

My Thoughts:

I did not like this foundation at all. You could totally tell I had makeup on. I prefer the natural look or at least fake the natural look with makeup. It went on streaky and was a difficult to blend. When the foundation finally set, it just looked chalky and cakey. I found that the foundation melted off my face! By midday, I actually noticed patches of foundation on my face. It was not a good buy.

Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Review

maybelline-dream-liquid-mousseMaybelline Dream Liquid Mousse ($7.79) Air-whipped formula provides skin perfecting coverage.

  • Smooth, 100% poreless finish with natural luminosity
  • Air-brushed natural perfection
  • Blends effortlessly for a flawless, air-brushed finish.
  • Oil-free, Fragrance-free, Dermatologist Tested, Allergy Tested, Non-comedogenic – won’t clog pores.
  • Safe for sensitive skin, good for all skin types

My Thoughts:

I’m going to have to pass on Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse. I like that it comes with a pump and gave me a decent medium coverage. However, it oxidizes. Oxidation is a big no-no in my world. If you have an oily complexion, I suggest you stay away from this because by midday I was shiny.

Almay Pure Blends Makeup Review

almay-pure-blends-makeupAlmay Pure Blends Makeup ($13.99)

  • 97.4% natural
  • Lightweight, fragrance-free foundation, for all day wear
  • Evens out the complexion
  • Provides a flawless, naturally perfect finish
  • Blend of antioxidant fruit and flower extracts, including Lotus, Orchid and Acai to nourish and hydrate
  • Free of talc and added parabens
  • Eco-friendly package made from 35% post consumer recycled material
  • Hypoallergenic. Dermatologist tested.

My Thoughts:

It’s a really sheer foundation. Too watery/runny for my liking. This is sort of like a tinted moisturizer. If you have oily skin, I really wouldn’t use this. It will make you look extremely greasy. A positive thing about Almay Pure Blends Makeup? It didn’t dry out my skin. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone.

Cover Girl Smoothers Aquasmooth Compact Foundation Review

cover-girl-smoothers-aquasmooth-compact-foundationCover Girl Smoothers Aquasmooth Compact Foundation ($9.49) Designed with AquaCurrent Science, this vitamin-enriched formula directs moisture to your skin’s surface to improve its condition over time, while giving smooth, even coverage that makes imperfections virtually vanish before your eyes. This solid makeup transforms into a liquid during application, then dries to an even, powder-light finish.

My Thoughts:

I found this foundation to be okay. It does feel like you’re applying liquid foundation, but yet, it dries to a powder finish. When you apply the foundation, you have to blend quickly because it dries fairly quickly. It accentuated my dry spots, which I did not like. This actually reminds me of foundation sticks. I won’t be repurchasing Cover Girl Smoothers Aquasmooth Compact Foundation because I feel there are better drug store foundations.

L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Makeup Review

loreal-true-match-super-blendable-makeup

L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Makeup ($10.49) True Match Makeup precisely matches your skin’s texture and tone and coordinates perfectly with True Match Powder, Blush, and Concealer. Formulated with Opti-Blend™ Complex so you can control coverage and fine-tune it. Micro-fine optical pearls blur imperfections. Packed with vitamins B and E and glycerin to nourish skin. Ultra-pure formula contains no oils, fragrances, or pore-clogging fillers. Available in 24 skin-true shades. SPF 17 Sunscreen.

My Thoughts:

I didn’t like this foundation, because I couldn’t find a color match. Even though the stores organized the foundations into warm, neutral, and cool shades, for some reason I could never find a color match. I also didn’t like having to pour out the foundation every time I used it, because it’s a runny/watery foundation. I was constantly pouring out too much. I wish it came with a pump. The foundation provided medium coverage and is blendable. However, when it dries it leaves a weird texture on your face. I can’t quite describe it. It’s not a satiny smooth, but more paper smooth. I hope that makes sense.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20 Review

neutrogena-healthy-skin-liquid-makeup-spf-20Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20 ($13.99) Finally, naturally beautiful coverage that takes your skin’s health seriously. Neutrogena healthy skin liquid makeup takes over where your skin care leaves off. Silky-light coverage glides on for a perfectly natural look, while the exclusive blend plus SPF 20 work together to visibly improve skin’s luminosity, tone, and texture.

  • Flawless coverage, lightweight, silky formula
  • Exclusive blend of antioxidants and SPF 20
  • Maintains skin’s young and healthy look
  • Available in 12 new shades
  • 1 fl. oz. bottle liquid

My Thoughts:

This foundation is actually a reformulation of the old Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup. I found the new formula inconsistent. Sometimes it was thick, other times thin and watery. It’s also no longer hypoallergenic. I wouldn’t recommend this for people with dry skin, because it will accentuate your dry patches and flakes. I also found it difficult to find a color match, apply, and blend. This foundation is a complete no-no.

Covergirl TRUblend Microminerals Foundation Review

covergirl-trublend-microminerals-foundationCovergirl TRUblend Microminerals Foundation ($12.99) The ultra-fine powder formula of TRUblend Microminerals Foundation easily builds coverage from sheer to full, while always looking natural. The powder is also 5x finer and preferred nearly 2-to-1 for providing a natural look versus the leading mineral foundation.

My Thoughts:

This mineral foundation provides a light coverage. The thing that surprised me about this foundation was it has a bit of sparkle/shimmer to it. It’s not noticeable unless the light hits you at certain angles. It goes on smooth and is blendable. The brush is small and can be irritating. There is no place for you to swirl and tap the excess product off the brush. It’s an okay mineral foundation. If you want a sheer coverage, give it a try. You might end up liking it.

Tip of the Week

Got body breakouts? Chances are the conditioner from your hair was not completely rinsed off your body. Use a body scrub a couple times a week.
