Carmex Original Tube ($2.99 for a pack of 3) I think I have found my HG (holy grail) lip protectant. Carmex has worked mircles! For 2 weeks, I was suffering from dry lips. I could not get rid of it. I chugged lots and lots of water thinking maybe it was because of dehydration. That didn’t work. I used my beloved and always-solves-everything Vaseline. Nope. Still dry lips. I used my favorite Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer SPF 15. Nothing. Finally, I dug through my stash of lip balms and treatments hoping to find something that could help. At the bottom of my stash was my pack of Carmexes. I don’t know what made me try it. Thank goodness I did! Within 2 days of using Carmex, my dry lips were gone! Not only were my lips no longer dry, but they were super moisturized. I didn’t have to reapply for hours. What I really like about Carmex, besides the healing and protectant effects, it really soothes. The menthol-like cooling sensation is not very strong where it burns. Instead, it’s a light cooling feel. I LOVE CARMEX! It’s super affordable (approx. $1 a tube) and long lasting. A total must-have.

Loreal HiP high intensity pigments Intensely Moisturizing Lipcolor ($10) I love these lipsticks! They are so moisturizing and pigmented! Everything Loreal advertises them to be. They smell and taste good too! Besides being so moisturizing, I love that they feel so weightless. There is nothing I hate more than for a lipstick to feel thick and heavy. The lipstick isn’t super shiny or super matte. It’s somewhere in between. The only downside of this lipstick is the price: $10. That is expensive for a drugstore lipstick. It’s only a few dollars cheaper than high end lipsticks. I would only buy the lipsticks during BOGO sales. Love BOGO sales!

Covergirl TruShine Lipcolor ($6.39) Don’t be caught wearing the wrong shade again! Thought you couldn’t wear red or pink or coral? With TruShine you can! We’ve specially designed shades to complement your skin tone whether you are fair, medium or dark!

My Thoughts:

This is very similar to Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick. It’s a moisturizing lipstick that goes on smoothly. There is no weird smell or taste. The differences I could find between Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick and this lipstick is that Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick lasts a bit longer and this lipstick provides a bit for shine/gloss.

Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick ($5.99) The moisture-rich formula and expanded palette of shades help keep lips soft and colorfully protected.

My Thoughts:

LOVE! I love moisturizing lipsticks and this one by Cover Girl is no exception. Even though this is a moisturizing lipstick, it lasted a very long time! I mean I still had to reapply after eating, but it lasted a lot longer than other moisturizing lipsticks. The shades are either hits or misses so I only get them during BOGO sales. The lipsticks don’t have a weird or taste (thank goodness!). It goes on smooth and feels very light. When the lipstick fades, it leaves back a hint of color.

Covergirl Outlast Smoothwear All Day Lipcolor ($9.29) Wish your moisturizing lipcolor would last? Get the luscious look and feel of moisturizing lipcolor in a formula that lasts a full 8 hours. In satin and luminescent shades – it’s paradise!

My Thoughts:

As the name suggests, it is certainly an all day lipcolor. Also like long lasting lipcolor, it can be drying. The balm that comes with it is really moisturizing, but it doesn’t last very long. I felt like I had to reapply it every hour or my lips would be cracked and shriveled dry. I don’t think I will be repurchasing because I’m not a fan of all day lipcolor since dryness comes with it. Even though there is a moisturizing balm, I feel I will be using it all up before I even make a dent in the lipcolor.

Covergirl Outlast Smoothwear All-Day Lipliner ($6.79) Shape your lips with color that lasts. Silky-soft pencil glides on easily and smoothly to ensure flawless application without pulling or tugging. Color hugs lips to prevent lipcolor from feathering or bleeding outside of the lines.

My Thoughts:

I really really like this lipliner. I like it even more because it is so cheap especially when on sale. The color lasts for so long and it goes on so smooth. No tugging at all. I was so suprised to find how non-drying it was too! I highly recommend this lipliner.

Loreal Infallible Never Fail Lipcolour Compact ($11.99) This lipcolor has really good staying power. The top coat is not so good. It wasn’t as moisturizing as I hope it would be. It’s really important that my lips are moisturized, because long wearing lipcolor will suck out all the moisture from your lips.  Also, my lips dry out very easily. I do like that it isn’t goopey or gunky. I don’t have to worry about my hair sticking to my lips. It’s great for a night out. You don’t have to worry about reapplying or fading. All you have do is moisturize when you feel your lips drying out.

Covergirl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers ($5.99) Pamper your lips with fresh, fruity flavor, a burst of shine and the smooth feel of a lip balm! Each pocket-sized tube of Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers has a conditioning formula, with botanical ingredients, helps improve lip condition over time and lock in moisture for hours.

My Thoughts:

This gloss smells oh so good! It’s also moisturizing . That’s about all I like about Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers. It’s just either too frosty or too sheer that it’s like applying Vaseline or a clear gloss. It’s such a shame because the colors in the tube are so pretty! You are definietly better off trying Cover Girl Wetslicks Lipgloss or Cover Girl Wetslicks Amazemint Lipgloss.

My Thoughts:

This balm has a hint of sunscreen smell which I don’t mind at all. I love the smell of sunscreen! It reminds me of the beach so much. It’s not my favorite balm because it’s bit thick and gooey when I apply it. However, Blistex Ultra Protection leaves my lips feeling soft, moisturized, and protected. This balm isn’t something I would repurchase, because I prefer a balm that protects and moisturizes with thin layer. I want to feel like there is nothing on my lips.

Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer SPF 15 ($2.99) I love this lip moisturizer! I am so glad I saw this and snagged it. It’s kind of hard to find. It’s not even listed on Neutrogena’s website! If you do find it, I say stock up. It glides on so easily and effortlessly. It feels like Vaseline. It goes on clear so you don’t have to worry about a tint. Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer really does keep my lips moisturized for a few hours. Hands down the best lip moisturizer I have ever used.
