Loreal HiP high intensity pigments Intensely Moisturizing Lipcolor Review

loreal-hip-high-intensity-pigments-intensely-moisturizing-lipcolor Loreal HiP high intensity pigments Intensely Moisturizing Lipcolor ($10) I love these lipsticks! They are so moisturizing and pigmented! Everything Loreal advertises them to be. They smell and taste good too! Besides being so moisturizing, I love that they feel so weightless. There is nothing I hate more than for a lipstick to feel thick and heavy. The lipstick isn’t super shiny or super matte. It’s somewhere in between. The only downside of this lipstick is the price: $10. That is expensive for a drugstore lipstick. It’s only a few dollars cheaper than high end lipsticks. I would only buy the lipsticks during BOGO sales. Love BOGO sales!

Covergirl TruShine Lipcolor Review

covergirl-trushine-lipcolor Covergirl TruShine Lipcolor ($6.39) Don’t be caught wearing the wrong shade again! Thought you couldn’t wear red or pink or coral? With TruShine you can! We’ve specially designed shades to complement your skin tone whether you are fair, medium or dark!

My Thoughts:

This is very similar to Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick. It’s a moisturizing lipstick that goes on smoothly. There is no weird smell or taste. The differences I could find between Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick and this lipstick is that Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick lasts a bit longer and this lipstick provides a bit for shine/gloss.

Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick Review

covergirl-continuous-color-lipstick Covergirl Continuous Color Lipstick ($5.99) The moisture-rich formula and expanded palette of shades help keep lips soft and colorfully protected.

My Thoughts:

LOVE! I love moisturizing lipsticks and this one by Cover Girl is no exception. Even though this is a moisturizing lipstick, it lasted a very long time! I mean I still had to reapply after eating, but it lasted a lot longer than other moisturizing lipsticks. The shades are either hits or misses so I only get them during BOGO sales. The lipsticks don’t have a weird or taste (thank goodness!). It goes on smooth and feels very light. When the lipstick fades, it leaves back a hint of color.

Covergirl Outlast Smoothwear All Day Lipcolor Review

covergirl-outlast-smoothwear-all-day-lipcolor Covergirl Outlast Smoothwear All Day Lipcolor ($9.29) Wish your moisturizing lipcolor would last? Get the luscious look and feel of moisturizing lipcolor in a formula that lasts a full 8 hours. In satin and luminescent shades – it’s paradise!

My Thoughts:

As the name suggests, it is certainly an all day lipcolor. Also like long lasting lipcolor, it can be drying. The balm that comes with it is really moisturizing, but it doesn’t last very long. I felt like I had to reapply it every hour or my lips would be cracked and shriveled dry. I don’t think I will be repurchasing because I’m not a fan of all day lipcolor since dryness comes with it. Even though there is a moisturizing balm, I feel I will be using it all up before I even make a dent in the lipcolor.

Loreal Infallible Never Fail Lipcolour Compact Review

loreal-infallible-never-fail-lipcolour-compact Loreal Infallible Never Fail Lipcolour Compact ($11.99) This lipcolor has really good staying power. The top coat is not so good. It wasn’t as moisturizing as I hope it would be. It’s really important that my lips are moisturized, because long wearing lipcolor will suck out all the moisture from your lips.  Also, my lips dry out very easily. I do like that it isn’t goopey or gunky. I don’t have to worry about my hair sticking to my lips. It’s great for a night out. You don’t have to worry about reapplying or fading. All you have do is moisturize when you feel your lips drying out.

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick Review

revlon-colorstay-ultimate-liquid-lipstickRevlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick ($7.49)

  • Food-proof lipcolor with a built-in, ultra-conditioning topcoat
  • One-step application- No topcoat required for comfortable wear
  • Stays comfortable and wears beautifully for up to 12 hours
  • Does not feather or fade; no touch-ups required, even after meals
  • Available in 20 full-coverage, soft satin shades

To Use: Apply a thin, even layer to clean, bare lips and wait until dry.

To Remove: Use any oil-based makeup remover or cleanser.

My Thoughts:

Not a bad long lasting lipcolor. Yes, long wearing lipcolor are supposed to be drying, but this was too drying for me. However, the colors are really pretty and last forever! The color doesn’t budge at all. When I use Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick I just have to make sure my lips are constantly moisturized. It’s not my favorite, but by far not the worse. Give it a try.

Cover Girl Outlast All Day Lipcolor Review

cover-girl-outlast-all-day-lipcolorCover Girl Outlast All Day Lipcolor ($9.99) The #1 original long-wear lipcolor! Our advanced formula with resilient, brilliant coverage, color and shine gives you up to 16 hours of color that stays true in just 2 easy, breezy steps. Outlast has a moisturizing topcoat that helps lock in shine-no feathering, no bleeding.

My Thoughts:

This is most definitely an outlast all day lipcolor. It lasts all day and all night. It lasts so long I have to use Pond’s Cold Cream to remove it at the end of the day. It’s not as drying as most long wearing lipcolor, but it can be drying. Just be sure to moisturize well before applying the lipcolor and to be sure your lips are well exfoliated also. This allows the color to go on smoothly and won’t accentuate any dry, cracked lips. The best thing about Cover Girl Outlast All Day Lipcolor, besides the lasting color, is the amazing color selection you get. The only complaint I have about Cover Girl Outlast All Day Lipcolor is that the color of the tube doesn’t reflect the actual color of the product. It ends being darker than the tube color. I found this to be on of the best long lasting lipcolor I have ever tried.

*Tip how to apply: Be sure lips are well moisturized and flake free. Apply a thin layer of lipcolor. Allow the lipcolor to dry. It’s best not to layer so much of the lipcolor, but if you feel the need to layer on more, do so in thin layers. After the lipcolor dries, apply gloss. Viola! Long lasting lipcolor.

Revlon Matte Lipstick Review

revlon-matte-lipstickRevlon Matte Lipstick ($7.99) Straight from the Runway shades! Beautifully rich matte color glides effortlessly across lips. Suede-like, cushiony feel and with maximum color impact. Beautifully rich shades from nude to deepest berry.

My Thoughts:

I found this lipstick rather drying for my liking (the #1 reason why I don’t like matte lipcolor). I prefer moisturizing creamy lipsticks. You have to exfoliate and moisturize your lips well before you apply the lipstick. When you do apply the lipstick, it’s best to dab the color onto your lips because it doesn’t “glide effortlessly across lips.” It’s great if you’re going for the matte lipcolor.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Review

revlon-super-lustrous-lipstickRevlon Super Lustrous Lipstick ($7.99) Revlon Super Lustrous™ Lipstick is as essential as the little black dress. With 72 fabulous, fashionable shades, Revlon Super Lustrous™ Lipstick offers the widest range of colors, so you are sure to find one that looks gorgeous on you! Packed with mega-moisturizers and vitamins C and E for soft, smooth, sexy lips. Your lips stay kissably conditioned for lasting smoothness while the color stays rich and true.

My Thoughts:

Don’t you just love the sleek packaging? I also love the window at the top of the cap. It’s a great way to check out out the lipstick color without having to remove the cap. The lipstick goes on smooth and feels very light. It provides a decent amount of pigmentation and isn’t super drying. Also, unlike the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss, this lipstick has no funky smell. After the color has faded, you are left with a stain that is true to the color.

Maybelline Mineral Power Lipcolor Review

maybelline-mineral-power-lipcolorMaybelline Mineral Power Lipcolor ($7.49) Mineral Power Lipcolor has pure micro-minerals for a natural yet noticeable color with a soft-shine finish.

Discover the goodness of micro-minerals in lipcolor:

  • Our formula, with micro-minerals is clinically proven to improve the condition of the lips up to 62%
  • Pure color, weightless feel
  • Enriched with shea butter and jojoba oil to leave lips smooth and supple
  • No heavy waxes
  • No preservatives

My Thoughts:

I loaded up on these Maybelline Mineral Power lipsticks during a sale at Walgreens, and I’m so glad I did. It’s perfect for summer, because they provide a soft, sheer wash of color. Nothing too strong or bold. It’s not drying and there is no smell. Because it’s moisturizing, the color is not long lasting. The color slides right onto your lips and feels really light. For some reason, this lipstick remind me of a lip balm.

Tip of the Week

Got body breakouts? Chances are the conditioner from your hair was not completely rinsed off your body. Use a body scrub a couple times a week.
