My Thoughts:

NYX’s Pump It Up Lip Plumper is a lip plumping lip gloss. One swipe of the lip gloss, and it’s hello Angelina Jolie lips! You immediately feel a tingling sensation upon application. The tingling doesn’t bother me. However, I have a feeling if you’re sensitive to these types of products, it’ll feel more like a burning sensation. The cinnamon oil is what causes the tingling and gives a cinnamon flavor to the glosses. I found the glosses to look better when layered over a lip color than if you were to wear it alone. The glosses can be either too sheer or frosty if worn alone. They also have shimmer; some more than others. Out of the 3 NYX Pump It Up Lip Plumpers I tried (Jessica, Lindsay, and Lisa), Jessica was my favorite. Jessica gave a nude lip color with a bit of shimmer. Lindsay wasn’t a favorite of mine because it was too frosty for my taste. Also, it was too much a cool-tone for me. Lisa was like a clear gloss with shimmer. Overall, I really liked NYX’s Pump It Up Lip Plumpers. The shades are all very pretty, and the plumping effect wasn’t bothersome.

NYX Slim Lip Pencil Part 2 Review, Photos, and Swatches

NYX Lipliner Pencil ($3.50) Slim, trim but never prim, our lip pencils come in 60 dashing shades—from auburn to orange and traffic-stopping red. The buttery, long-wearing lip liner formula goes on easily and resists bleeding. Available in 60 shades.

My Thoughts:

836 Bloom -a bold fuchsia shade. I love to pair this up with a bold pink lipstick/gloss to make the color pop even more.

857 Nude Beige -a medium tan shade that I like to use for a nude or natural lip color.

858 Nude Pink -a light pink nude shade

860 Peekaboo Neutral – a nude shade with a hint of pink. This is my go to lip liner.

Overall, I wish the NYX Slim Lip Pencils were creamier. I don’t like it when lip products are on the dry side because it tends to tug on your lips. To be clear, it doesn’t dry out your lips. The texture just isn’t creamy. However, I don’t have to worry about the color fading because it is quite long lasting! I would most definitely repurchase since it’s so affordable and there are so many shades to choose from!

NYX Slim Lip Pencil Part 1 Review, Photos, and Swatches

My Thoughts:

810 Natural – a brownish beige shade. It’s great if you’re going for a nude/natural lip color.

812 Plum – a dark mauvy shade.

813 Plush Red – a bright red with a bit of orange.

817 Hot Red – a bright, bold red. I think it’s a perfect classic Hollywood red lip color.

New NYX Summer 2011 Round Lipstick Shades Review, Photos, and Swatches

NYX Round Lipstick ($4) A velvet-textured lipstick formulated with mineral oils to provide moisturizing benefits and rich colors. NYX’s top selling lipstick, The Round Lipstick offers long-lasting, non-smudging color.

My Thoughts:

Just like all the other NYX Round Lipsticks, they are creamy and go on very smooth. The lipsticks are quite moisturizing and go on pigmented. I didn’t notice any weird lipstick smells either. I really like how the bottom of the lipstick case is clear so you can have a good view of the lipstick color without having to take the cap off. The NYX Round Lipsticks aren’t super long lasting, but what moisturizing lipstick is right?

There are 24 new NYX Round Lipstick shades for Summer 2011.

Of the 24 new shades, I have 4 of them to show you: Lip Du Jour, Shiva, Fortune Cookie, and Paparazzi.

Lip Du Jour is a frosty, light pink shade. It’s not super frosty where the pink color gets lost.

Shiva is a bold, dark hot pink shade with a hint of red.

Fortune Cookie is a shimmery, golden nude color. It almost matches my skin tone, but surprisingly doesn’t completely wash me out. I think the hint of a golden undertone really helps add some color to the nude color. I think Fortune Cookie will look best on people with a light skin tone.

Paparazzi is a rosy pink shade.

My Thoughts:

Palladio Precision Lip Liners are so creamy and go on so smoothly! The lip liner has a glossy/creamy sheen to it, but when you apply the liner, it goes on matte. Gingerbread is a dark neutral, nude color that you can actually turn it into a lip color. Just line your lips, fill it in, and top it off with some clear gloss. The color lasts for hours and hours. It doesn’t fade or feather. The best part? The lip liner doesn’t dry out your lips.

My Thoughts:

Palladio Herbal Lip Gloss is a great dupe for MAC’s Lipglasses, except better. Why do I think the Palladio Herbal Lip Gloss is better? First, it’s cheaper and more affordable. I can buy 3 Palladio lip glosses for the cost of 1 MAC lipglass. Second, the Palladio lipgloss is not as sticky as MAC lipglass. The Palladio gloss feels very light and isn’t thick and goopey. The gloss is sheer but does have pigmentation. There are tiny sparkles in the gloss, but you can’t even feel them on your lips. The tiny sparkles help give the illusion of plumper lips! I don’t know what I was thinking forking over nearly $15 for MAC lipglasses when I could’ve gotten a great dupe for a third of the cost. Seriously give Palladio Herbal Lip Glosses a try. There are so many colors to choose from!

My Thoughts:

Another awesome product from Palladio! The Palladio Herbal Lipsticks are very pigmented and not over drying. The lipsticks are creamy and go on smoothly. The staying power I would have to say is like most lipsticks. I was able to wear the lipsticks for several hours before having to do a tiny touch up. I like how there was no unpleasant smell or taste. I find a lot of the times lipsticks have a weird smell or taste. While the lipstick was on my lips, they did not settle into any fine lines or feel heavy. The lipsticks are high in quality; low in price, and I have to say probably one of the best lipsticks I have ever tried (high end included). I am very impressed with the Palladio Herbal Lipsticks.

Sorry for the horrible lipstick application. I didn’t use a lip brush to apply. Instead, I applied the lipstick straight out of the tube so you can see the straight-from-tube color payoff.

My Thoughts:

Palladio Herbal Lip Slix is a jumbo-sized lip crayon. The crayon gives the pigmentation of a lipstick and the shine of a gloss. Because the end is pointy like a pencil, it gives you a lot of control and precision when you apply the Herbal Lip Slix. It serves as a lip liner and lip color at the same time. It’s a 2-in-1 product! On my lips, the Herbal Lip Slix feels very smooth and moisturizing. The staying power is excellent and there is no strange scent or taste.

A minor concern I do have is having to sharpen the pencil. It’s a jumbo-sized pencil, and I’m not too sure how many people own a sharpener that fit jumbo-sized pencils. It’s not a problem for me because I own sharpeners for various pencil sizes, but it may be an inconvenience for people who only own a sharpener for slim pencils.

My Thoughts:

For a gloss that is super glossy, surprisingly Palladio’s Plump n Shine Herbal Plumping Lip Gloss isn’t sticky or goopey at all. The gloss goes on very smoothly and cleanly and the wand is very easy to control. The wand has a brush on the end that is soft and not scratchy, stiff. The color of the lipgloss is sheer but still pigmented. I did detect a very subtle scent and taste, but it’s not bothersome. I would say the scent and taste was on the sweet end. Like most glosses, this gloss only lasted a few hours before having to reapply.

As for the plumping action, it was difficult to see if any plumping occurred since my lips are already full. However, I did notice a slight cool, tiny tingling sensation. Thank goodness it wasn’t the burning kind of tingling sensation. I hate those kind of plumpers! Overall, the Plump n Shine Herbal Plumping Lip Gloss is a great lipgloss and worth a try.

My Thoughts:

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan is a rosy color. It’s very creamy and quite opaque. What you see in the tube, is the color you get. The lip cream glides on so easily, and once it dries, it stays put on your lips. It doesn’t settle into fine lines nor does it dry out your lips. The finishing look you are left with is a smooth, soft matte color. It’s everything you want a matte lip color to be! If you’re looking for a matte lip color that won’t dry out your lips, you have to try NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream! You won’t be sorry.
