Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Sun-Damage Daily Moisture Lotion SPF 28 Review

Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Sun-Damage Daily Moisture Lotion SPF 28 ($10.15)

My Thoughts:

The Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Sun-Damage Daily Moisture Lotion SPF 28 is an anti-aging moisturizer. It’s suppose to protect your skin and help repair damages. What made me want to try this moisturizer was the promise of reducing the appearance of sunspots. It took me about 3 months of daily use to use up the whole bottle. Did I notice a difference with my skin’s appearance? Barely. The improvement was very minimal. As a daily moisturizer, I thought it was good. It wasn’t too thick or too thin. I also like that it has SPF and didn’t break me out. There is a scent, but it’s not overpowering. It smells a bit citrus-y. I also like that the bottle comes with a pump dispenser. It’s so much more sanitary and less messy than having to use your fingers to dig out the product from a jar. Would I repurchase? Probably not. I can find a better daily moisturizer that costs less.

Be Fine Neck Cream Review and Photos

Share

Be Fine Neck Cream ($23.99) A firming, tightening and smoothing corrective cream with Mushroom extract for firming and Iris Flower derived estrogens for tightening. Added caffeine evens out and smooths while natural vitamins support collagen production to correct and perfect. Brightens and tones can be also used on decolletage.

My Thoughts:

First, I have to mention I can’t comment how well Be Fine Neck Cream evened out and smoothed the skin on my neck and decolletage, because my neck and decolletage is pretty smooth and even to start off. So it was really difficult to tell if Be Fine Neck Cream made a difference or not.

The cream itself is white in color and watery when it is dispensed from the bottle. However, when you apply it to your skin, it doesn’t feel watery. It actually felt creamy and light. I personally was not a fan of the fragrance. The fragrance reminded me of a hardware store; that outdoors, wood smell. I’m not a outdoorsy type of person so the fragrance was a turn off for me. It wasn’t a very strong fragrance and it did fade over time.

On the positive side, I really liked the overall packaging of the Be Fine Neck Cream. It comes in a hard plastic bottle that gives off the illusion it’s a frosted glass bottle. The bottle is housed in a pretty box with images of mushrooms. Unlike most creams, it comes with a pump dispenser. I was really happy about that, because I don’t like creams that come in jars or squeeze tubes. Digging your fingers into a jar can get dirty, and squeezing a tube can get tiresome.

Be Fine Gentle Cleanser Review and Photos

Be Fine Gentle Cleanser ($25) Cleanse, condition, and protect your skin daily with naturally moisturizing emollients in Sugar. Oats and Rice feed vitamins to rejuvenate skin tone and fight aging. A hint of fresh Mint invigorates and stimulates circulation refreshing your skin.

My Thoughts:

Be Fine Gentle Cleanser is the type of cleanser you want to use in the morning. The refreshing and cooling effect of the mint will definitely wake up. I was surprised the mint in the cleanser didn’t sting or irritate my skin like most products with mint do. Instead, all I felt was a light, pleasant cooling sensation. The cleanser didn’t dry out my face. It left it feeling clean and soft. Be Fine Gentle Cleanser lathers up really well but not so much where it starts to foam. The cleanser itself is a pearly white color and a bit on the watery side.

The cleanser bottle comes packaged in a really pretty box with pictures of mint leaves (I love pretty packaging). Even though the bottle looks like it’s made of frosted glass, it’s not. It’s a hard plastic bottle that comes with a pump dispenser. I like how it gives the illusion of a glass bottle. It makes it look fancy without the worry of breaking the bottle.

Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion + Sunscreen SPF15 Review

Share

Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion + Sunscreen SPF15 ($25) Skin MD Natural™ is a state-of-the-art shielding lotion designed to duplicate the skin’s own protective barrier helping to protect skin against damaging irritants while providing hours of non-greasy moisture. This makes Skin MD Natural the ideal choice for dry skin treatment over other lotions for dry skin. Our lotions are made to be free of parabens, petrochemicals, dyes, and other irritating ingredients. They are also vegan, cruelty free, and eco-friendly. We don’t participate in animal testing or use any animal products in our lotions and Skin MD Natural is formulated in the United States in a facility that uses 100% solar power. Skin MD Natural and Skin MD Natural + SPF 15 are manufactured in the United States using 100% solar power, free of animal products and animal testing.

My Thoughts:

Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion + Sunscreen SPF15 is almost exactly the same as Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion except it contains SPF 15. You can read my review of Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion here.

I actually brought Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion + Sunscreen SPF15 with me on my trip to Australia. I’m glad I did because I needed all the SPF I could get since it was summer in Australia. Unlike the Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion, Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion + Sunscreen SPF15 has a less watery consistency, but it still has a thin consistency. If you hold the lotion up close to your nose, you can detect a slight herbal, natural smell. The texture of the lotion is very light and non-greasy and is quickly absorbed into your skin. After it is quickly absorbed, the lotion leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.  A little goes a long way so I can see a 4 oz. bottle lasting a couple of months. Even though you can use this lotion on your body and face, I only used it on my body, because lotions with SPF tend to leave my face looking a little shiny. The only downside of the Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion + Sunscreen SPF15 is the $25 price tag. However, if you’re looking for a natural lotion with sunscreen, Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion + Sunscreen SPF15 is worth it.

Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense SPF 50 Review

Share

Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense SPF 50 ($13.99) Specifically formulated as a facial moisturizer, Cetaphil® UVA/UVB Defense SPF 50 provides broad spectrum UV protection with an optimum blend of five filters. The moisturizing formula hydrates the skin for 8 hours and absorbs quickly. Micronized Titanium Dioxide leaves no filmy white residue. Non-greasy, lightweight, fragrance-free, non-irritating, and non-comedogenic, this moisturizing product is ideal for daily facial use.

My Thoughts:

Cetaphil is known for its gentleness so I figured I would try out the Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense SPF 50 facial moisturizer. Was it gentle? NO! It stung and burned my face so bad. It also made my face look really shiny and greasy. The sunblock doesn’t absorb quickly so it does not  mix well with makeup. I also had a difficult time applying and smoothing out the thick cream. Another bad thing about the Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense SPF 50 is when it finally absorbs into your skin, it leaves an unattractive white cast. I wish there was something positive to say about the facial moisturizer, but there isn’t.  Save your money and buy a different facial moisturizer with SPF.
