Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free Review

laura-mercier-oil-free Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free ($42) Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer – Oil Free is a sheer, lightweight, buildable foundation that can be worn by all skin types but especially those with acne prone, sensitive or oily skin.

  • Hydrating, oil-free formula softens skin offering a healthy glow
  • Helps to prevent excess oil from setting on the surface of the skin
  • Controls oil breakthrough while providing hydration to prevent dryness
  • Buildable coverage for those hard-to-cover places
  • Offers further protection from UVB rays & harmful effects of the environment with an SPF 20
  • Ideal for troubled skin

My Thoughts:

I didn’t like the oil free tinted moisturizer as much as the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. It didn’t blend as easily and it does oxidize. It feels as if it sits on your skin instead of melting/sinking into your skin. Other than those complaints, the oil free tinted moisturizer performed very similarly to the tinted moisturizer. It didn’t clog pores and the coverage is buildable.

Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer Review

laura-mercier-illuminating Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer ($42) Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer is a lightweight, buildable sheer foundation formula that delivers a youthful, radiant finish, while protecting skin from the damaging rays of the sun with SPF 20 protection.

My Thoughts:

I have to say that I prefer the original tinted moisturizer. It blends well and has a nice finish, but it was a too shimmery for me. I have oily skin, so the Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer just made my skin appear even oilier. It performed well just like the original tinted moisturizer. It is light and lets your skin to breathe.  It is not greasy, oily, or drying. You can actually use this as a highlighter.

Benefit You Rebel Review

benefit-you-rebel1 Benefit You Rebel ($30) Our defiantly different tinted moisturizer with SPF 15 leaves your complexion healthy & protected with a hint of color. We’ve tossed in antioxidants, aloe vera & allantoin for soft, supple skin all year long.

My Thoughts:

It’s actually a pretty good moisturizer. It doesnt provide a lot of coverage. It’s rather sheer. It’s perfect for weekends and school when you don’t feel like piling on foundation. Despite it’s thick formula, it spreads very easily and the tube lasts a long time.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Review

laura-mercier-tinted-moisturizer Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer ($42) Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is a sheer, lightweight moisturizer with SPF 20 & a hint of color that can be used in place of foundation for a natural appearance while adding a healthy glow to your complexion. Moisturizing formula hydrates skin, softening & easing fine, dry lines. Leaves a natural, dewy finish. Features an antioxidant vitamin complex that acts as a free radical scavenger to protect the skin from even the most aggressive effects of the environment. Extremely long-wearing, stays colour true & wears evenly.

My Thoughts:

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer gives enough coverage to even out my skintone, but still allow my freckles to show through. It is light and lets your skin to breathe.  It is not greasy, oily, or drying. It is a bit pricey, but I have to admit, this is one of the best tinted moisturizers on the market. There are 7 different shades that is sure to suit your skin color.

Philosophy The Supernatural Poreless, Flawless Tinted SPF 15 Review

Philosophy The Supernatural Poreless, Flawless Tinted SPF 15 ($30) is listed as a “tinted moisturizer” at Sephora, but on the Philosophy website it is listed as a “primer.” I initially wanted a tinted moisturizer so I gave The Supernatural Poreless, Flawless Tinted SPF 15 a try. The Supernatural provides a sheer coverage, so sheer it did nothing for me. Even though it’s oil-free, it had an oily feel when I put it on my face and left me shiny mid-way through the day.  So, as a tinted moisturizer, it failed. I decided to give it one more try as a primer. It failed at that too. It added an orange tint to my skin color, and I don’t think it helped my foundation go on smoother. I’m not going to buy this tinted moisturizer/primer again.

Tip of the Week

Got body breakouts? Chances are the conditioner from your hair was not completely rinsed off your body. Use a body scrub a couple times a week.
