MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner SPF 15 Review

MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner SPF 15 ($14.50) A protective emollient balm formulated with SPF 15, a sheer wash of colour and an all-natural sheen. Conditions lips, locks in moisture. Contains Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Extract, Wheat Germ Oil, vitamins A and E.

My Thoughts:

This tinted lip conditioner wasn’t very conditioning. The conditioning effect only lasted about an hour, 2 hours tops. I do like the tint of color though. Even though the colors may appear bright in the jar, they appear soft on your lips. A perfect everyday color! Be aware though that the color isn’t very long lasting and you will have to reapply multiple times throughout the day. I don’t like how it is packaged in a jar. You have to use your finger or a brush to apply. If you use your fingers, be sure to clean them before (you don’t want to contaminate the lip conditioner) and after (the color will stain your fingertip). Overall, not worth it. Save your money and just buy a lip balm from the drugstore.

CO Beigelow Mentha Lip Shine Review

co-beigelow-mentha-lip-shine CO Beigelow Mentha Lip Shine ($7.50) No. 502 Mentha Lip Shine Peppermint Oil 2% Our mint-infused lip balm provides a glossy high shine with a refreshing cooling sensation.  Lips stay moist and protected while peppermint oil gives breath a long-lasting freshness.

My Thoughts:

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE LOVE LOVE. This lip balm/gloss is amazing! It’s so moisturizing and makes your lips a bit plumper. It comes in an assortment of flavors and tints. I always stock up on these when they are on sale at Bath and Body Works. My favorite thing about this lip balm/gloss is the taste and smell. So yummy!

Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss Review

clinique-superbalm-moisturizing Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss ($13.50)  Lip balm with a colourful twist. Luscious, high-gloss shades treat your most undermoisturized skin to soothing shine. Instantly relieve dryness, protect with antioxidants and more.

My Thoughts:

The shine disappears fairly quickly. It’s also not really moisturizing so I wouldn’t use it to treat chapped lips. It is very thick and sticky. It is more like lip gloss than lip balm.

Benefit Benetint Lip Balm SPF 15 Review

Share

benefit-benetint-lip-balm Benefit Benetint Lip Balm SPF 15 ($20) It’s the original and still the best rose-colored cheek and lip tint. Kiss-proof and water-proof, this indelibly sheer tint gives you an innocent, yet provocative glow that will keep everyone guessing “what has she been up to?”

My Thoughts:

I LOVE this lip stain. It’s the most moisturzing lip stain I have ever used. Most lip stains will dry out your lips. Not Benetint Lip Balm. The packaging could be better. I don’t enjoy having to use a lip brush or fingers (don’t forget to wash fingers after applying!) to apply. It provides a pretty light, cherry-colored tint to your lips.

Benefit Lipscription Review

Share

benefit-lipscriptionBenefit Lipscription ($32) Before you even contemplate kissing, make sure your lips are soft, smooth and sensual with dr. feelgood’s lipscription. One tube exfoliates, and the other smoothes and moisturizes. It’s the sure-fire set to smooth your pucker! This dynamic duo leaves lips smooth, soothed, plump, and sexy. Simply buff off the dry stuff with the AHA, jojoba-enriched scrubbing beads, then slather on a layer of the rich, hydrating silky lip balm for a fab kisser – in an instant.

My Thoughts:

My lips are always on the dry side if I don’t moisturize daily. This caught my eye at the Benefit Cosmetics counter at Macy’s. I’m so glad I stumbled across it. I use this 2-3 times a week and my lips are left smooth and moisturized. Wonderful for making lip color looking amazing on my lips! The only complaint I have, besides the price, is the taste of the lip balm. I don’t like the taste very much, but a great way to stop me from licking my lips.
