My Thoughts:

MAC lipsticks are one of my favorite lipsticks. Not only do they carry a wide range of colors, but MAC also carries a range of textures. The lipsticks are pigmented but don’t feel heavy. They glide on so smooth and depending on the texture can be moisturizing too.

Different texture descriptions:

Amplified- pigmented with a shiny finish.

Amplified Creme - super creamy with a subtle shine finish. Pigmented.

Cremesheen – pigmented and creamy with a sheen finish.

Frost - shimmery with a shiny finish.

Glaze – sheer color with a sheen finish.

Lustre – semi-sheer color with a glossy, shine finish.

Matte - super pigmented with a matte finish.

Satin – pigmented with a semi-matte finish.

MAC Magic, Mirth, and Mischief Put a Spell On You Pink Lip Bag ($36) Pink puts a spell on you, and with its trio of Dream Lipstick, Dervish Lip Pencil and Baby Sparks Dazzleglass, this lip kit is no different. Comes in a small, stylish rectangular makeup bag of polished silvery-pewter vinyl, the zip adorned with a round bead and grosgrain ribbon detail. Limited edition.

My Thoughts:

I love pink lip color. The lipstick, Dream, is a glaze lipstick. The color is more of a sheer, color and it provides a sheen/shine. It reminds me of dark, dusty rose color. Baby Sparks Dazzleglass has a lot of sparkle. A lot. It certainly gave my lips a lot of “bling” and gave the illusion of fuller lips. I love the sheer pink color. It’s perfect for all year round use. Dervish lip pencil is a pink mauve color that gave my lips a perk of color. It’s like a YLBB (Your Lips But Better) color. Out of the 2 lip bags, this is the one I got, because this is goes perfectly with a smoky eye.

My Thoughts:

I actually didn’t get this because I tend to shy away from dark lip colors. I’m not bold enough to rock dark lips even though I want to. When I tried it, it wasn’t as dark as I expected. Fantasia, the lipstick,  was a deep rosy color. I felt this lipstick was more pigmented and not as sheer as the lipstick in the Put a Spell On You Pink Lip Bag. If I wasn’t so scared of dark lip colors, I would have gotten this too.

My Thoughts:

For both the lip kits, the lip colors only gave a hint of color to my lips. They are rather sheer. With that being said, I only picked up the Possessed By Pink Lip Kit. Even though it appears dark, out of the 2 lips kits, this one actually showed up on my pigmented lips. Also because the lipcolors are pretty sheer, it didn’t show up dark on my lips at all. Perfect for me! The Heavnely Dish Neutral Lip Kit looks very pretty in person, but on my lips it was almost invisible. Possessed By Pink Lip Kit will be a great item to toss into my bag for traveling or when I’m in rush.

Urban Decay Lipstick ($22) Leaving no shade unturned, our huge assortment of colors and textures tempt you to stray from an otherwise predicable palette. The luxuriously creamy formula nourishes and protects lips with Vitamins A, C, and E. Hyaluronic Spheres (found naturally in the body) are added to stimulate cellular function, prevent dehydration, and fill-in lines and wrinkles—now, how many Lipsticks can do that?! The teardrop-shape bullet (etched with an Urban Decay logo) is infused with a decadent crème caramel scent and flavor. Yum.

Not your standard Lipstick case, we added more glamour and an Urban twist: Urban Decay Lipstick tubes, made from weighty, purple metal, are pierced with a mini gunmetal dagger. The clear cap is decorated inside and out with two-toned purple flourishes. The effect is multidimensional, and incredibly luxe. Ooh la la.

My Thoughts:

This is a really smooth and creamy lipstick. I love it so much! There is a such a wide range of shades that you will surely find one that suits you. The lipstick is long lasting and moisturizing too. I have to admit that my favorite thing about the Urban Decay lipstick is the packaging. On the lipstick itself is the Urban Decay logo etched in. How cool! The dagger at the bottom of the case is a love/hate thing. It’s eye catchy but can get in the way. Overall, Urban Decay lipsticks are one of my favorites!

The formula includes SPF 15 (yay!) and moisturizing Vitamins A, C and E for a primer that protects and perfects. And, our pretty roll-up tube and slanted bullet make for precise, easy application.

My Thoughts:

I really like this lip primer. It’s so hydrating! No worries about cracked, dried out lips here. It kept my lipstick on and in place for hours and it even worked for lipglosses too! My only complaint is when you initially apply it, it’s rather difficult to to apply. I had to warm it up a bit first by swiping it a few times on my hand, then applying it. The lip primer went on much smoother after warming it up.

Smashbox Doubletake Lipcolor ($22) Our new DOUBLETAKE LIP COLOR is a lip pencil and creamy lip color in one! This vitamin-packed, long-wearing formula has caffeine and nourishing wheat glycerides to moisturize and protect lips. The sleek portable pencil fits into any purse for touch ups on-the-go.

My Thoughts:

I really like these lip pencils. I love how I don’t have to pick a lipliner to match my lipcolor or vice versa. It’s all figured out for you. I love that it is a fat pencil. It’s so much easier and faster to color in my lips. The lasting power is pretty strong too. The pencil goes on creamy and smooth. A definite recommendation to everyone.

Shiseido The Makeup Shimmering Lipstick ($22.50) This dual function lipstick combines the bright and lustrous brilliance found in lip gloss with the staying power and color intensity of lipstick. Conceals rough lip surfaces and vertical lines to minimize unevenness.

My Thoughts:

This lipstick has microglitters that give it almost a metallic finish. You don’t feel the glitter nor is it glittery shiney. It gives the perfect amount shine. It’s not as moisturizing as the new Shiseido Perfect Rouge, but it still goes on smoothly and doesn’t dry out your lips.

My Thoughts:

I have this lipstick in Skinny Dip and I L-O-V-E it! It is my favorite lipstick. It is so creamy and smooth. Does not dry out your lips at all. It does the opposite. It moisturizes. I use this with Benefit The Gloss in Kiss Me. This color combo makes for a great dusty rose lip color.

Smashbox Wicked Lovely Doubletake Lip Color ($22) is a double-ended lip pencil and creamy lip color in a new soft pink nude shade that perfectly complements a sensual smoky eye. The vitamin-packed formula has caffeine and nourishing wheat glycerides to moisturize and protect lips.

My Thoughts:

Wicked Lovely Doubletake Lip Color comes in one color, Gossamer. It is a light pink lip color. It’s a perfect match for a smokey eye look. Be sure to moisturize and buff your lips before using the doubletake lip color because it can accentuate dryness. I don’t use this when I’m tan because it can make me look a little washed-out since it is a light pink color. If I do use this when I am tanned, I make sure to use a lip gloss with a little color to bring color to my lips.

Shiseido Perfect Rouge ($25) , created by Shiseido Makeup Artistic Director Dick Page, brings together Shieseido’s powerful skincare and cutting-edge color techniques to create the ultimate, luxurious lipstick with clear, true color and a rich full looking finish. Translucent red pigment and dual-optimizing powder ensure lip color stays true, vivid and luminous under any light conditions. Satin smooth pearl ultra fine pigments for luster and superb smoothness. Super hydro-wrap vitalizing DE creates a protective moisture veil to improve condition and texture over time for an ideal finish. There are 20 colors to choose from.

My Thoughts:

I love this lipstick! It is moisturizing and pigmented. I have this in “Baby” a pink, peachy, beige lipcolor. It’s a great color for spring. It’s also perfect for the natural, everyday look. Perfect Rouge is light-weight and semi-matte. To make it long-lasting, I use Shiseido Smoothing Lip Pencil underneath.
